  1. Congrats on getting in and beginning your program. I'm in exactly the same situation and totally agree with all you said. It is intense but doable....I'm learning how to eat this elephant one bite at a time. Good luck to ya....we're all gonna need it....
  2. HI Trang......Congrats on graduating. Just wondering what nursing stuff you're getting rid of....
  3. Glad to hear that you didn't get kicked out for something like that. Don;t know how old you are or where you're from but if you were born before 1958 then you would be exempt. Also, the SS website even says that if you're older than 26 then you don't have to register. I was pretty much always in uniform, usually in the reserves, for over 30 years so I never was in a position to have to register. You mentioned you were on a visa...where are ya from...just curious.
  4. Hi Ivilleguy .....I've been hoping that I might hear back from you in regards to your Selective Service issue you mentioned previously. I hope things have worked out for you in your favor. We're getting closer every day to the beginning of this crazy journey and I hope you and everyone else in this class is doing well and preparing yourselves physically, emotionally and psychologically for the grind that lies ahead.
  5. I'm not quite sure I'm hearing you right. You're saying that you're getting kicked out of the program because you can't register for Selective service?? That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. I'm a vet, got out inn 2007, and way past the age to register but I've done it anyways. I printed out the form, filled it out and mailed it in. Who told you that you're getting kicked out for this reason?
  6. Thanks so much for the heads up......
  7. Question for the group....Has anyone heard anything about a 2 - 3 day orientation before classes start? I saw this mentioned on the boards of some previous classes ....
  8. I'll be at NLC.....
  9. Thanks Alex...I've heard that number also..... just wasn't sure......
  10. Happy November 1 to all of you.....another day closer to getting this journey started. I was just wondering if anyone has any idea what the points cutoff number was for this class. I've heard various numbers but if anyone has any idea what THE number was I'd appreciate it....Thanks....
  11. Friday 31 October.....that office closes at noon if I'm not mistaken.....
  12. I'm a former Corpsman and just got my acceptance letter to El Centro college in Dallas last week for the spring. I haven't been able to find any info on a vet route around here...would love to hear your thoughts...
  13. Thank you so much for the info. This might give me an opportunity to pick up some shoes during the early Christmas sales.
  14. Hi AshPang....Thanks for the great info on your schedule. I've got a dumb question for you if I may. Just wondering if you could tell us what color the scrubs are for the program at Northlake and what the uniform regs are for shoes..ie: color, etc.... Thanks for your input
  15. I received my acceptance letter on Thursday 23 October for the Northlake campus. I look forward to the next two years with y'all. Are there any other Navy Corpsman like myself out there?
