Hello transferstudent, welcome! and congrats on choosing nursing as your career. I am popping my head in to let you know I had a C in both a&p 1 and 2 and I got accepted : ) everyone told me I needed to "replace my C's" but the thought of taking A&P over frightened me. I did have all my classes completed before I applied though. To answer your other question I do not think they give you extra consideration if you apply early, they do give you extra consideration if you have all your courses completed though. In the CCBC catalog it tells you exactly what their process is for accepting applicants, good luck! : )

Hello, I'm just gonna jump in also. Mursegeek17 is right you must score a proficient on your teas to get accepted. You also must score above a 69 on the reading portion even though it says "recommended" I know this because I was rejected the first time I applied due to a low reading score (that and I didn't get my teas in on time anyway). Now here's the good news, I got accepted this semester with only a 3.0 GPA and proficient on my teas score, I also had 2 C's in my science classes. I hope this helps! Also in regards to running out of time on the reading section, this happened to me too (that's why my reading score was below 69) the second time I took it I read the questions first then went back in the passage and found the answer, not saying this will work for everyone but that's how I brought my reading score up the second time : ) best of luck!

I would love to hear feedback also, I just got accepted to the ccbc TU ATB program and so far all I know is instead of taking NURN 155 on Tuesdays at CCBC I will take a class at TU on Tuesdays. It seems like a cheaper way to get a bachelors but I have no idea how the financial aid works : / I wish there was more info on this!

Does anyone know if financial aid considers the nursing program full time since it is not 12 credits? I'm just wondering if I will get my full pell grant or if it will be cut. Thanks!

Congratulations! From what I understand we will have class mon-wed and clinicals on thurs and fri but I'm not 100% sure

Has anyone applied to any university's yet? I am thinking of applying to Notre dame as well but there is such a short time period to get it all done!

I am applying to towson and frostburg. Towson is my first choice but they are so competitive :/ I went to frostburg website and applied as a transfer student, you pay the $30 application fee and have your transcripts sent and you're good to go.They also tell you if you got in through email so you don't have to wait for mail which is awesome!

What university's are you planning to apply to? I am applying to towson and just got off the phone with a lady named Elizabeth crusse. I gave her my email and she sent me the application to apply, you have to fill out the application and send all official transcripts by May 15th. I don't know about the other university's but you have to contact her because the application is not available online.

My orientation (for essex) is May 26. Who else is going to essex?

I'm sorry to hear about that, I know how it feels I was declined last semester. If you believe they messed up then I would call and try to get some answers. Again I'm very sorry but if not this semester you will get in the next round! Here's what I do to calculate gpa : Your grades are awarded on a point system A=4 B=3 C=2 take the number of credits and multiply it by the grade for example if you got an A in a 4 credit class you would have 16 points, if you got a B in a 3 credit class it would be 9 points. Add all of them up then divide that number by the total number of credits. Hope this helps!

I am having trouble understanding how the ATB program with towson works. So if I decide to do that I will have nurn 155 on Tuesdays at essex then go to towson for physical assessment that same day?

A seat fee is like saying that is your place in the nursing program, if you don't pay it your seat will be given to someone on the wait list. The seat fee 100% means you got in, congratulations! I applied last semester and did not get in and I never had a seat fee.

No letter for me either, I just wanna see it in writing!
