  12. Hi everyone, I am a new nurse in a residency program. I love my facility and would want to continue with them. But I got a message from my family informing me that my mom is sick and has requested for my presence during this period. She lives in another country. So that would mean me leaving the country to go be with her. Now I have been in this residency program for just about a month and I know they have spent so much money in my training up to this point. But then my mom needs me. This is a sad situation and I don't really know what to do? I know they may not be willing to keep the position for me because I am just a new nurse and secondly because I don't even know how long I will be out for. What do I do? Should I just put in my 2 weeks resignation? (I fear they will most likely ask me to stop without waiting for the 2 weeks since I only work with a preceptor). Please advice me. Thank you!
  13. Vitiana sorry I didn't not receive your message

  15. BuckyBadgerRN My response did not in any way show I found an answer. I am looking for suggestions and information about agencies/hospitals willing to sponsor. Please read my original post.
  16. JustBeachyNurse thank you for your contribution but I don't think it's a bad as you portray it. I have few days to my graduation and I already accepted an offer from a reputable hospital and they know my OPT is good for one year. They have told me that they may not sponsor me but they'd be happy to have me for one year or let me go if I find any agency willing to sponsor me.
  17. I'm already here in the US. I will be graduating from a Texas University.
  18. Yes I applied for OPT. I'm from Nigeria. My OPT is good for 1 year but I was thinking long term. I'm going to school in Texas.
  19. Hello, I am an international student and be will be graduating this December. Please I need some advice on how to find agencies or hospitals that file for green card for nurses. Thank you.
