TNCC and ODU coenrollment program
Hi Kelsey, Congratulations on your acceptances! I've been accepted to the Spring 2016 class at TNCC as well! So excited to start! I'm not enrolled in the ODU concurrent program, but I do know someone who recently graduated from it, and she said that the course load was definitely manageable. Looking forward to meeting you and our classmates at orientation in a few weeks! 😊

Thank you FutureRN0625!! 😊 Both TCC and TNCC have awesome nursing programs! I'm starting to lean a bit more towards TNCC though, because it would be a shorter commute for me (I live in Newport). We'll see though! Hopefully tomorrow will be the day y'all!! 🙌ðŸ™ðŸ’–

Tidewater Community College - Spring 2016 Applicants
Welcome FutureRN0625 and Maegsy!! Happy to have you both on the thread!! Yep, they only look at grades earned on prerequisites now! 🎉 At the information session, they said that admission to the program is based on a points system. They didn't say how many points were given for the HESI/grades, but they did say they were ranked from highest to lowest like this: 1.) HESI 2.) BIO 141, 142, 150 3.) ENG 111, 112 4.) PSY 201, 235 5.) PHI 226 I know it probably doesn't sound like much coming from me, but I still think you have a chance FutureRN0625!! Apply. You never know what could go right :)

Awesome grades, mbtsab & mic23455! I studied from the Elsevier website book too. Definitely recommend it! I also used my old Biology, Chemistry, and A&P notes to brush up on areas I felt I needed practice on. It had been a while since I had taken CHM 1, so I studied like crazy for that section!

Hey, mbtsab! Welcome to the thread!! I have a 3.5 prerequisite GPA and an 88% HESI score. I still have to take a class in the fall though. I'm nervous about not having that one class completed, but I'm trying to stay optimistic! 👠How about you? Are you applying for the spring program as well? :)

low hesi score but good GPA
FutureRN0625, Definitely still apply!! There is no minimum HESI score requirement and your GPA is awesome! We don't know what the applicant pool is going to be like, so take the chance! Best of luck!

Tips for Tidewater Community College? Hoping to Apply in the Spring!
I went to the information session on July 15th, and you must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 for courses in the nursing program's curriculum of study. They're NOT changing the GPA minimum to 3.5

Hi mic23455 and Butler8076! Nice to meet you both! I'm glad you're here to join me on the long wait for October! :) I applied for both cohort 3 and 4, but now I wish I had applied for the evening/weekend cohort as well. To be honest, I'd be happy with any cohort! Lol

Tidewater Community college future nursing student!
Hello all! I am also going to be applying to Tidewater CC's nursing program! :) I have completed all of the required courses, except for Ethics and SDV 101. I plan on taking both this coming Fall, but I am concerned that not having these courses completed will hurt my chance of being accepted into the Spring 2016 program. Were any of you all accepted into the program with a few classes still in progress? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much!

Nursing Schools in the Fayetteville Area
Hello all! My husband and I will be moving to Fayetteville this summer and I am currently looking for an ADN program. I've been lurking on allnurses for the past couple of days trying to get an idea of which schools to apply to, but I'm having trouble deciding. I was in an ADN program at my previous school, but it looks like I am going to have to start from ground zero with the additional admission requirements that I have to complete (College Chemistry w/lab & NC Nurse Aide I). These are the schools I am looking in to: - Sandhills CC - Robeson CC - Sampson CC - Central Carolina CC - Fayetteville Tech CC Which programs do you all believe are the best to apply to? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks :)
