Criminal history?
First of all let me start out by saying "NOBODY HAS A HEAVEN OR A HELL TO PUT YOU IN". Though I've never been in this type situation, I'm sure that if you will be COMPLETELY honest with them that they will be understanding about it. The only advice that I will give you is to pray about it & have faith that it will work out. But you also should stop beating yourself up about it as well. It happened, you changed your life & now it's time to move on. We ALL have vices that we're dealing with, and shouldnt be judging because NOBODY IS PERFECT. I hope that this gives you some encouragement to keep pushing on & CLAIM THAT JOB. Good Luck & please keep me posted on how things went.

Are PCT's replacing the LPN
Wow.....So if this is true then why are Community Colleges still offering the class......Thanks for responding......So what state do you live in if you don't mind me asking?

PCT Training/Education
Where I live, you have to be a CNA first, then you can take the 16 weeks class at a Comm College. There's no state certification for it either (at least as of yet IMO). The course is usually around $1000.00 you have to show proof that you're an active CNA before you register for the class. Hospitals here will not hire you as a PCT if don't take take the class from a BON approved school. Hope this helps, GOOD LUCK!!!!

Are PCT's replacing the LPN
I have just 5 more weeks to go in my PCT class. So the other day we were (my classmates & I) discussing how our roles are phasing out the LPN's in the hospital setting. I stated that I'm on the fence about this one because there are STILL a lot of hospitals in our area (DC-Balt) that still hires the LPN's. So my question is ARE PCT's REALLY REPLACING THE ROLE OF THE LPN IN THE HOSPITAL SETTING OR IS THIS ANOTHER ROAMER THAT KEEPS SPREADING AROUND TO FORCE LPN's TO BECOME AN RN?
