I honestly have no idea about the waitlist. I was told about it when I interviewed but from what I've read in the past there hasn't been one.

I would wait and see; from what I know there's a total of 50 seats available. They're still interviewing so give it some time. What documents are they asking for? You can PM if you want to keep that personal.

I haven't heard anything about an alternative list because from what I know there are still interviews going on until the end of next week.

Hey Midiku, Thank you for the information. I actually had LTC Adams information before I even did MEPS offering to set up a Phase 2 interview but my recruiter is saying that since one part of MEPs isn't done they won't interview me. I emailed LTC Adams directly to see if he could give me a conditional interview pending my one insignificant part of MEPS so hopefully he gets back to me. Has he been responsive to emails from possible candidates?

Hey thanks for the response, but unfortunately due to a part of my MEPs not being completed they're postponing my interviews. i don't think I will be able to make the October 31st board. I've heard of a December board but I'm not sure. Anyone know anything about December? My recruiter started putting the option out there about applying for Summer 2019 which I'm a little bummed about.

Does anyone know if the interview days are always Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday? I'm having a hard time getting off work to go to some of days because I work night shift.

Meps was fine. I'm waiting for phase two which should be in NC. Really trying to make the October deadline.

Midiku, Thank you for asking. Sorry it took a while to respond. I've been working some insane hours lately since I just switched to nights and I'm also working as a Wound Nurse. I spoke to NEU and she said I'll be fine. I just put the recruiter's email for the third reference which he will forward to the Phase 2 director. I have MEPs this Thursday which I'm not looking forward to but I just want to get the process rolling. Has anyone else had their phase 2.

Hey Guys, I'm in the process of doing both applications and I was wondering if any of you would be able to answer a couple of questions that I might have. I spoke to someone at NEU and was told to leave the third recommendation blank for the Phase 2 director to upload their recommendation. However, when I tried to submit the NEU application without that recommendation it says that my application is incomplete due to that last recommendation not being there. Can anyone please advise. I'm trying to make the September 1st deadline for NEU. I would really appreciated any advice you guys might have.

Hey Guys, So I finally took the GRE last Friday and I'm going in to meet with my recruiter this Thursday. I was asked to bring in a motivational speech. Does anyone have any tips on what to write? Also after meeting with the recruiter and having all your forms submitted, how long after did you have your phase 2 interview?

For those of you that have finished MEPs what does it consist of? I've been hearing conflicting information from different sources. Some say they wanted you to do the duck walk others didn't. Can anyone clarify this? Or is it just a plain physical?

Hi SimplyBliss, Just a quick question, usually how long after interviewing with the nurse manager does HR get back to you about whether or not you were given the position or are being wait listed? Any info you have would be very helpful.

That's great that you got them to extend the deadline, I think you're right to want to wait it out and see. I'm not fully funded at any cost it's just the housing that's dropping my costs significantly. And honestly, University of Washington is a great school so you're going to be fine. I'm sure you got in there.

Hey Spaceshuttleboy, I completely understand what you mean. I think at this point the only thing you can do is think it over carefully before you make a decision. I know that the three week deadline is approaching for people who were in the first round of acceptances so you have a little less than a week to make a decision. Have you heard from any other schools?

Hey spaceshuttleboy, I've placed the deposit but only for tuition. I didn't need the housing. As for the bill, I think that $33k is more or less what you would be paying per semester. However, for the summer it might be less because the summer semester is less time. I remember you said you got the nursing scholarship as well so that would take you down to about $115k. Did you also get the option to do work study? Because that's another way to keep down the cost. As for the books, you really don't need to purchase the books for Adult and Elder care, or Patho and Pharm according to a lot of the people I spoke to, so you can cut down the cost of books that way. I know some of the cuts I mentioned seem minute compared to the overall cost but trust me they add up. I think if you cut a lot of corners you won't have to take out that much. Hey Mordydovid, Since you live locally, will you be going to the accepted students meet and greet this Tuesday? I got a phone call from them last week asking me to come but I have class around that time.

So as for financial aid I called today and they weren't very friendly about it. They said that they're pretty behind and that we might get our awards in two to three weeks.

Hey Keiya, Thanks for the response. I'll look into keeping my car then. I found an apt that's 5mins walking from the school so I'll look some more into that.

Oh and Spaceshuttleboy, I forgot to add this...When I did my first degree in Finance I was first admitted to NYU but chose to go to a cheeper school in NYC. While I did exceptionally well and got a great job after graduating, it was no where near to the opportunities that my friends who went to NYU had. So I think this is probably another major thing that drove my decision.

It was $20k cheaper, but when I considered housing and living expenses it was only 10K. I think the main reason I decided to stay is because I really didn't want to move to the midwest and all my family and friends are here. I was worried about trying to find a job back in NYC when I was done and quite frankly all the networking that I can do while I'm here is way more worth it to me. I hope that makes sense.

Hey Spaceshuttleboy, I accepted their offer because when I calculated what it would have cost to go to the other school I was accepted to it came out to the same thing if not cheaper if I attended NYU. I really didn't want to move, so being able to live rent free with my family is a pretty sweet deal for me. Also no food costs lol. I also know that there are more scholarships and aid that become available during the year.

Hey Spaceshuttleboy, I know that most students who qualify for need-based get about $2800 per semester. Usually to get need-based they look at your EFC on the FAFSA, and if you have an EFC of 000, you will most likely get that $2800 per semester. At least that's what someone in the program told me. Other than that I think we're going to have to wait and see what the award letter says. BTW thank you for calling to find out about the financial aid notices I was wondering when we would get those.
