  1. yes, or check crai*lis*.
  2. cna4jesus- all the site is going to do is delete it lol. Just call the office.
  3. I just finished 4 months of the program, but unfortunately will be moving out of town due to my husband's work transferring, so I will not be able to finish. Yes it is hard, yes there are "clicks" and yes it is hard, hard, hard, so be prepared.
  4. Hi LPN in Miami- I start school in Orlando in January and once finished I will be moving to Miami. I may have to get in touch with you for some advice!!!
  5. I am going to go full-time. I turned in the paperwork required. They will tell you in the information session exactly what you need to hand in. First come, first serve as far as getting in. I took everything in the day after the information session bc I was so scared I wouldn't get in! I will find my paper and let you know. I wish I could attach it to this. I have done a lot of research on the program and what to expect.
  6. Oh ok. I did that already. They were really nice. I talked to them last month and handed in everything. I'm 44 and figured it was time to go for it. I don't have my prerequisites for BSN yet. Was going to start working on that as well. Let me know how it goes and what you decide!
  7. RN543- I have considered it, but getting into a program is hard. It is easier to go the LPN route for me.
  8. KrisFreya- Where do you live? I was going to do the same, but after being in the LPN program a short while, I will be able to take my certification for CNA. Where are you taking your CNA classes?
  9. livinmydream- Did you get an email from Orlando Tech telling you about interviews?
  10. This thread has been the most helpful in me making my decision to pursue my nursing career. I start an LPN program in January in Orlando and will work on my science classes to bridge to BSN since I already have a bachelors degree. Thanks for everyone's input!
  11. I need to purchase my first pair of shoes before I start school and am looking for some feedback on comfortable shoes. TIA
  12. I would think that once the case is closed, it is "closed" and the intervention wiped the slate clean. I would contact your local police department and see if it shows up.
  13. I am scheduled to start LPN school in January at Orlando Tech. I have always wanted to go into nursing and at 44 years old, I finally have the chance. My plan is to keep going towards a BSN since I already have a BS. I like being prepared for what to expect in the future and after looking at job postings for LPNs it doesn't look great. Everyone wants experience and most of the postings don't give a salary. My questions are: 1) What can I do to make myself employable before graduation? (start somewhere as a CNA, etc) 2) What is the pay range for LPNs? Thanks in advance for any feedback.
  14. I felt for a long time that I was too old to go back to school, call me a late bloomer, but I can't stop until I can achieve what I have always wanted to be. I am 44 and no matter what I would rather live the rest of my life doing what I love than continuing down the path of working in a job I hate going to.
