Gwynedd Mercy Fall 2015 BSN
I'm late and I'm sure by now everyone has went to the nursing registration and had these questions answered. If you are unsure about anything email the school or call they will answer all of your question promptly. Also, there is a Facebook page for the Class of 2018 and 2019. There are many incoming nursing students in the group, as well as senior nursing students.

Gwynedd Mercy University ABSN
I was accepted into the traditional BSN Program at Gwynedd. I do not start until August . However, I know a few people in the program and they say it is a great program but hard. I received a phone call from Paul stating I was accepted and then I received my acceptance package.

what is the difference between the absn and the bsn program? I was accepted into their BSN program this fall. However, I'm not taking any nursing classes until spring 16.

Gwynedd Mercy (transfer) BSN Fall 2015
Great! Just a little FYI, contact financial aid to make sure everything is a go. I had to write a detailed letter stating why I was transferring to GMU.

Gwynedd Mercy (transfer) BSN Fall 2015
Hi! I will be starting GMU BSN program this Fall as well. Yes, registration has begun. Actually, they were registering for classes on the 21st. I would contact your admission adviser ASAP! There are a lot of things that are needed before August. Let me know if I can be of any assistance ..

Do you enjoy being a PCA?
I've never heard of a Tech/CNA making $12 an hour where I live working in the hospital. The lowest I know of is $16. The nursing homes are a different story. I worked at a place that paid $13 starting and at another place that paid $15 for pool but $10.30 starting. So, yes, location matters but so does facility.

Gwynedd Mercy Fall 2015 BSN
Well yes, I received $14,000 in scholarship money and my job will pay $8,000 a year towards my tuition. Also, I received my credits evaluation last week and it will take me 2 1/2 years to complete the program. They no longer offer ASN option. It is only BSN. I was aware of these things when I applied.

Do you enjoy being a PCA?
Sure. I can only tell you evening and night shift rates however because this is all that I know. Less than 2 years experience 41.xx and more than 2 years 48.xx . They pay well and also have great benefits. Again, this is based on my locale. I live in Philadelphia. I'm sure it is different everywhere.

Do you enjoy being a PCA?
I recently was hired as a Patient Care Tech on a med/surg floor at a top hospital in my region. I didn't start yet but I have 7 years experience as a CNA. They will train me to do the other skills that are required of a PCT, such as EKG's, drawing blood etc...My hourly rate is 21.97 an hour.I think it depends on where you live and the facility you are working in. I live in Philadelphia,Pa. The techs that have worked there for years make on average $26 an hour.

Gwynedd Mercy Fall 2015 BSN
Hello Everyone! I'm not sure if I posted this in the correct place. However, I wanted to share that I received great news! I was accepted into the BSN Program at Gwynedd Mercy University in Pa. It will take me three years to complete (I'm a transfer student). I'm super excited but also VERY nervous as I heard their program is hard (nursing school is hard--period!). I'm sure this question has been asked before but I'm hoping someone could offer me some advice on attending nursing school with small children? And also any other helpful tips for first year nursing students would be greatly appreciated. Lastly, does any one have any recent information about their program?
