  1. I used saunders comprehensive review book for the nclex rn. It truly helped me, it gives quick reviews of diseases and asks tons of questions and comes with a cd that has thousands of questions, it would be really helpful especially since you've been out of school for a while.
  2. I start monday aug. 8 and got hired for a day shift, 7a-7p. I was lucky though, my hospital usually only hires new grads, i graduated in may, for night shifts but one of the rns is leaving the floor so i applied just in time. Most of the rns that work nights like it and thats the shift they wanted, but if you push for it you can talk to the supervisor and try to swing a day shift.
  3. I used this book and I feel that studying this book is what helped me pass the nclex. I just passed on july 25. This is the only book that explained in detail what you really need to know to pass the boards. I learned so much from this book I wish I had it while I was in nursing school because it makes complex things easy to understand. When I passed the boards I got rid of all my school books, but kept this because it is the best.
