  1. To be honest, the way they are treating you is so immature.. why are they even going to nursing school?? it definitely has nothing to do with the age group, those girls seem stuck up and unfriendly. i would either try meeting other people outside of the campus or get some guy friends. Guys are so much easier to hang out with no drama. Good Luck!
  2. If your talking about post conferences, it truly depends on the instructor. You just have to play it by ear the first time and than see how what they are looking for. Last term my instructor was pretty tough she wanted a nursing diagnosis for the patient which isn't too bad except she drilled you on everything (labs, procedures, meds etc.)..for the term I am currently in i will start clinical on Sunday, so ill see how she will be than. Good luck to you!
  3. Hello my fellow nursing friends! I will be starting my first day of clinical for my med surg rotation on Sunday and I am super nervous! During fundamentals clinical i was also always nervous, and my instructor just made it worse; but now that i will be with a new instructor and be at a Hospital is making me even more anxious! I know I am just learning but what I am most worried about is not knowing how to do something or freezing up! I would love any advice anyone is willing to give; mainly how to calm my nerves and get over these feelings!!
  4. Getting nervous when taking skills test will never go away! Its my second year of nursing school and i always get nervous. Take a deep breath and just jump in and get it over with, no easy way to say it. But what i find helpful is closing my eyes and running the process in my head while doing the gestures. Good luck i hope things get better for the both of us:)
  5. Dont worry! I was in the same situation, and it happens to many people! you will have to get the series which consists of 3 shots and then you will have to get another blood test and then should be fine. You should still be able to start school and attend clinical with no problem. At least thats what i did. Good luck!
  6. Hello, I am in nursing school as well and have the same problem. Everyone keeps telling me to just practice..has yet to help tho. Good luck.
