  1. Hello, i am planning on doing my RN to BSN through WGU. I filled in the application today, they have told me to submit a transcript evaluation through an an accredited educational credential service that is a member of either the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) or the Association of International Credentials Evaluators (AICES). I looked at the list and there are a whole lot to choose from. I am a foreign graduate from Nepal. If anybody has used NACES or AICES please help me. I want to know which one you used, how much it cost, and how long did it take. Please help me out. I was surprised that they don't accept CGFNS evaluation. I would be grateful. Thank You.
  2. New graduates, stick with uworld! It is worth every penny! Make sure you read all the rationals. I cannot emphasize enough how important reading the rationals are. Make sure you write down and review lab values every other day, it's crucial that you know your lab values... It should be imprinted on your brain like tattoo :-)
  3. I finished saunders, did questions on kaplan after each system. After i was done studying the book and kaplan i took uworld for a month. I read rationals on both kaplan and uworld religiously! My question trainers' scores were high 50s to 60s. Uworld overall performance on tutor mode was 56ish. I graduated in 2005 from a foreign school. Been out of practice since 2007, sat for the test on the 28th of march, 1hour 10 minutes, 75 questions. Passed. Took me 4 months to prepare. I don't know if it was saunders, kaplan or uworld that helped most. I thought i failed when my exam stopped at 75, the questions seemed very easy... Perhaps i prepared well. 11 years since graduation, and i passed on my first attempt I guess all it needs is 4 months of hard work....good luck to all... I hope my experience will be a motivation to somebody, anybody... I am also thankful that new york let me sit for the test. My best wishes to all.
  4. Yes, they did. Sent me my approval letter first week of Drcember. Tested on the 28th, waiting for my results all anxious... I have a feeling that i passed, or may be i failed... It could go either way. Test stopped at 75, seemed unbelievably easy! That's the reason i have a doubt that may be i failed...i am going nuts! Will let you guys know :-)
  5. I checked their website, they don't mention any requirement as to till when after graduation foreign nurses can sit for nclex. Cgfns for ny bon took a year! Now finally they forwarded my report to ny.! Phew! And now ny is taking forever to review my documents... hence, i am super anxious if they will qualify me for nclex.
  6. Hello Sabina, so did new york let you sit for NCLEX? please let me know...and did you pass your nclex?
  7. hello, i know it is an old thread, a quick question though-- so did anyone find out if New York board allows foreign nurses to take nclex after 10 years of graduation? If anybody knows a definite answer, i would be grateful. thank you
