Lpn clinical rotations
I appreciate the feedback, I am looking forward to clinicals but I am also a bit nervous to see what it's going to be like. I am mainly excited about the OB rotation since I plan on transitioning into L&D Nursing once I complete my RN degree. Do they require you to check off skills?

Lpn clinical rotations
So I'm slightly confused about something and was hoping to get a little clarification. Initially I was going into an RN program, but i decided to take the ladder route for several different reasons. I know in RN clinical rotations you are in different areas... For example med surg, obstetrics...etc however there is a conception that most Lpns only work in LTC, so I'm wondering how you would complete a maternal child rotation. Has anyone completed an LPN program or done several clinicals, how was your experience? Were all the rotations in LTC?

Anyone else "only" going for LPN?
I think the decision to further education is situational. Everyone's circumstances are not the same and neither are everyone's dreams. For those that do not have the desire to work in magnet hospitals, being an LPN may be just fine. They are able to work in LTC, ALF and even schools and clinics. If your desire is to be in a hospital then you must have a Bachelor's. Me personally i have 3 children so the ladder approach suits me better. My ultimate goal is to be an L&D Nurse, but because of my time restraints, the attention i feel is necessary for my kids and some financial reasons i cannot go full force into a BSN program. I plan on finishing LPN... Landing a job, and going right into either LPN to RN or LPN to BSN depending on program options. We all are on the right track and I wish everyone the best of luck!!!

My Journey at PCCTI 6months later.
I'm excited to get started. I know that Nursing school is a challenge regardless of which program or section you are doing, but I know that I am ready. I'm so pumped to get on my way, because there is so much I want to accomplish in the Nursing field.

My Journey at PCCTI 6months later.
I start at PCCTI on November 14th since i am doing the weekend session. I also wanted to know about clinicals. I assumed they would be in nursing homes, but i wanted to get an idea of the locations of those nursing homes. When i was working awhile back they had ATS students traveling up north to a nursing home so i can imagine it varies. I would like to know more about recent experiences though

Chamberlain college of nursing tuition
I appreciate the advice, based off of what I've read and learned while I was there I know that it's a terrific school. Since there only focus is nursing they are able to dedicate full focus to it. I would love to attend this school, but I also want to make sure I'm not putting myself in a hole financially, since working wouldn't be 100% possible or advisable with the rigorous schedule. Seems I have alot to think about

Chamberlain college of nursing tuition
Wow...that's pretty expensive especially if you don't have tuition reimbursement. That makes me really nervous now...

Chamberlain college of nursing tuition
As far as payment plans are concerned, how expensive is it. For example, some of my friends decided to do LPN programs and were required to pay 300 dollar monthly payment plans outside of both financial aid and loans.

Chamberlain college of nursing tuition
So I'm planning on applying to attend the spring 2015 class. But I'm having a few reservations before applying. Unlike other schools Chamberlain does not access your financial aid record until u apply, so you have no insight on what financial aid will cover, how much in loans you'll have to take out or if an out of pocket payment will be required. I wanted to post on here and see if anyone had any more in-depth tuition information. I want to complete my degree, but I also don't want to have to stop attending due to not being able to afford it. If anyone has had payment plans, how expensive were they? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

ATI testing
I can't speak for everyone's experience but there weren't as many a&p questions as I assumed there would be. I figured I would be ok since I had recently taken both a&p 1 and 2, boy was I surprised. There was quite a bit of life science and chemistry. I remember several questions about mitosis and meiosis, the periodic table, boyles law. It is a fairly hard test, but of u prepare for it to the best of your ability you will be fine. I would suggest studying the things that u are most worried about and brush up on things u are comfortable with. Relax and remember to sleep well the night before. Best of luck to u, I know ur gonna do great

I've just recently went thru the same steps, with the amount of credits I'm transferring in I was told my tuition would be around 67,000. The advisor did tell me that financial aid does not cover their entire program and you will have to take out private loans, which are usually credit based. But she also went thru their accreditation with me as well, and they are accredited. I definitely understand your urgency to start moving towards ur nursing path, I'm trying to do the same as well. Weekday I've learned while dealing with this process is not everything works for everybody, u have to find a system and plan that will work well for u...Good luck..future nurse
