I cannot speak to the previous track director that you speak of. I did find it odd that they didn't hold interviews, but it sounds like there was a high volume of applicants. I did interview at the University of Minnesota for their DNP program. I started at UND in Fall 2019, and really like the program. It is block courses, so the most I ever have at one time is 2 courses. I enjoy the program layout. I have not experienced any issues with any of my professors. There are proctored exams, written assignments, quizzes, group projects, discussion posts, etc. It is asynchronous in terms of not having scheduled online lectures or anything, but assignments have firm due dates. Advanced pathophysiology is rough, but from reading a lot online that is the norm everywhere. I would definitely recommend their program over some of the other diploma mills. My friend went to Maryville and had an awful experience. A previous coworker went to Walden and had an awful experience. I actually did not even consider any of the schools that were not state universities. I hope that was helpful and what you were looking for.

I started out my journey into nursing school over 6 years ago. No, it did not take me 6 years of college to complete my degree. I got lost along the way. I didn't know then and I don't know now what I aspire to do in life. I thought I wanted to be a nurse. In nursing school, I quickly learned it wasn't for me. Due to family and financial reasons, I had to tough it out and finish. I landed my first nursing job with weeks of graduating. I managed to sell myself well enough to land a hospital job within a prestigious enterprise all with only an ADN degree. I am thankful to have the job, but I still know nursing is not for me. I know that bedside nursing is not the only type of nursing out there, but I just don't like nursing at all. I don't feel that it, my dislike, has much to do with being a new nurse. I am so stressed out over my dislike for nursing. I haven't really told any of my family or friends about how I have wanted to change my career path since I was in nursing school. I have talked to several nurses and read many blogs and I have found that I am not alone.
