  1. Hello In the UTA nursing 3300 Nursing cooperative Work Experience class, we are to "compose a specific goal relevant to your work environment and achievable during the course" Needless to say, I am having severe writer's block. the goal is to be personal, and related to either my : 1. evidence-based clinical practice, 2. professionalism, or 3. Team Dynamics. In stating my goal, I am to include how I will apply this to a final paper. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
  2. If it's any help, I did not have to retake A&P OR micro!!! (Happy dance, happy dance!!)
  3. Hi. I'm a little late on this, but, UTA accepted all of my classes, including Micro (whew!)from excelsior.
  4. me too! I buy the cheap ones at Target - they work fine.
  5. {{{{{{HUG}}}}}}} You're doing just fine. You did the right thing, you gave the right med, right dose, right time, etc. For all you know, a tele lead could have come away from the body for a moment. He's alive. He didn't code. No throwing up.... no quitting.... no crying.... always do a slow push.... breathe in and out. It's ok.
  6. "Did you put red bull in her coffee again?"
  7. Has anyone had success with team nursing? We are piloting a program on our acute care/tele unit. One RN does all of the charting for plan of care, etc., and head to toe assessments, and talking to MDs.. The other passes meds, educates on those meds, and runs around with all of the other things - getting pts ready for surgery... back from surgery, dressing changes, and stopping those lovely iv pumps from going off. There is a tech, but they are not assigned specifically to the team. We are doing 11 patients, both day and night. I'm not sure how the techs are split up... we had one tech for some patients - some for others. Any thoughts and recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
