  1. sorry guys, it took me so long to update you with my current status. i just got my dl under the old system few days ago. i struggled a lot, went through difficult situation just to get this dl. its a long story, to make it short, after complying with all the requirements, nmc suddenly close my application under the old system on the 1st week of april 2015. it was so frustrating bcoz they didnt give me clear reason on what went wrong with my docs...everyhing was vague. they even told me that may application was under management review, but he reality was it didnt happen. then i filed a complaint agains the international assessors , i emailed the complaint department of nmc, i got a quixk feedback that they will investigate my case. then after 2 weeks...bammm, i received my decision letter under old system. u know what guys, if you think that u have done everything correctly, fight for your dreams.. i won in the end. just be firm..dont let them throw or close ur application just like that..complaint department of nmc is neutral, they will help you if u think u are right
  2. hi @misplacedpens, The thing is, if you will do that, you have to change also the date of your employment certificate (its good.if your former employer is willing to that).
  3. hi @prisesitayas, its really hard to get an explanation letter from scfhs, it took me a month to get it including follow ups and wrong spellings... if you have relatives or friends from jeddah, u can ask a favor to bring the unrgistered practice form to saudi council jeddah branch coz they will sign it easily compared to other branch in the kingdom. once u have them signed the unregistered form, dont mind the explanantion letter. ..as long as scfhs signed that form, nmc wont ask for explanation letter
  4. Hello xtin87, First things, u have to sit for an ielts exam and make sure to get atleast 7 on each subtest (in one sitting), well if you already have nursing experience, that will be fine, it will be better if you will not have 12 months of employment gap. Right now, im still waiting for my decision letter. Goodluck to you
  5. hello, i did bring my employment certificate and my Saudi Council Certification when i went there to request covering letter, but i want to tell you that i took them 1 month (including hassles like wrong spelling on my name) to provide me with this covering letter as according to them, im the first one to ask for this covering letter here in jeddah branch in the last 4 years.
  6. Hello nvp82, yes its possible to ask from your relatives to go there, you have to bring your form there, anf pay 300 sr thru credit card( they are not accepting cash). Since you're out of saudi, is your nursing license here still active? Maybe its better if you'll send a copy of your saudi license if ever Saudi council will ask for it, but with my case, they get my form and instructed me to pay 300 riyals in the 2nd floor, when i got back to the 1st floor my form is already enclosed in the official envelope of saudi council and gave me a photocopy of accomplished unreg form. With regards to the covering letter, it took me a month to get it... dont mind the covering letter because they will sign your unreg form anyways.
  7. hey guys, sorry for the late post as i was very busy with work at the same time complying with NMC requirements, so okay, i got my pack 2 on the 2nd week of November 2014, so i anticipated that i will have a little time that is why i prepared all the necessary documents for stage 2. Read the other thread so you'll have idea what to prepare in advance. Fortunately, i have a very supportive mom back in the Philippines who did all my papers from my College school and from Professional Regulation Commissison, all of these were sent by last week of November. Now the big problem is with my unregistered practice here in Saudi Arabia since my employer refused to provide me with an explanation letter so as with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, i emailed them a lot of times, called more than 30 times and even went there personally every week for a month, but they failed to provide me with that explanation. the next step i did was sent NMC an email, i narrate all of the efforts i have done for the whole month just to get that explanation letter, even sent them screen shots of my request to saudi commission for health specialties as a proof, after 10 days, i received an email with attachment in PDF form containing the "unregistered practice verification form", i immediately printed it and went directly to Saudi Council Jeddah branch, on my way there, i received a call from Saudi Council telling that my explanation letter (they usually call it "Covering Letter", so dont mention/request for explanation letter but "COVERING LETTER") is now ready for pick up. It was a win-win situation for me since they signed my "unregistered practice form" and i got my explanation letter or what they called "COVERING LETTER". If you guys have problem securing signature from Saudi Council Riyadh Branch, ask help from your friends who are based in Jeddah since Saudi Council Jedddah branch is not that strict and can easily sign your NMC forms. Be reminded that they are not accepting cash, only credit cards. Ill be leaving Saudi Arabia in few weeks. Goodluck guys, exhaust all the possible options you can think of.
  8. hi there arya, i already had brought my unregistered practice form to Saudi Council and they signed it, i also read from other blog that Saudi Council Riyadh branch refused to sign this form, do you have friends in Jeddah who can actually help you with this problem, i will be leaving Saudi anytime soon, you have to email NMC to send you that form in advance, i also got my certification letter from Saudi Council (just like what edong and stylishgem) but it took them a month to process it, good thing NMC sent me that form and eventually had it signed by Saudi Council, i paid 300 riyals (using debit or credit card)
  9. I agree, imagine if we will all wait for the decision letter. Just wait for it, i actually phoned them first, to ask if they could send it in advance, then i emailed them a week after..i received that attachment after 10 days i think.
  10. Hello everyone, for those who have problem with their unregistered practice here in Saudi Arabia and in a hurry to meet the deadline for January 31, 2015, you can directly email the NMC and request to send the "unregistered practice form" in advance eventhough your stage 2 requirements have not been assessed. That is what i did, explain to them that you are aware of you unregistered practice and later on will be asked toexplain it. Im really surprised, few days ago I received an e-mail from NMC with an attachment containing the "unregistered verification form". So its really possible that they can send that form thru email. I went to Saudi Commission for Health Specialties Jeddah branch this morning and they easily signed it but i paid 300 riyals. Goodluck guys
  11. hi Guys, i received my 2nd pack a week ago, now im currently doing my stage 2.
  12. How many months is ur registration gap ms. Anajoy?
  13. Hello there, yes its with broomfields :)
  14. Hello there arya, its like.waiting forever. I just called nmc and my 2nd pack is ont its way.now..i will prolly receive it by d end of this week. Im still.included in the old system according to nmc..goodluck..hope u will receive urs soon
  15. hi guys, yes with broomfield hospital in chelmsford. Mid essex nhs trust
  16. Hello there gen88, Yes it is possible to get a job with nhs before you will have a decision letter from nmc, however, you will only be offered a "conditional offer" ....just like you, when i arrive there soon, i will be a "health care assisstant" as well while doing my ONP ( which btw, as i called the nmc, they told me i will be included in the current system which is onp, in ur case those who received a DL prior to september will have a choice either the onp or the new system, its ur choice to make actually) then later on, once i pass the onp and was able to register with nmc as a nurse, they will automatically offer me a band 5 nurse position. Try to find a legitimate agency which can help you. They will phone you, do the interviews and calculation exams via skype. Goodluck :)
  17. yup, but I think this will be an advantage since it will only take like 1 day to do the practical after you passed the online exam.
  18. hi kate, im done with my 1st pack, regarding the professional accreditation, as far as I know, there is translation services in Saudi council, but it costs more, whereas when you go to a certified translator, you will spend about 70 riyals only. Your certified true copy of professional accreditation certificate will be attached to the translated one! goodluck
  19. Hello guys, here is my timeline towards NMC United Kingdom registration as of today (September 02, 2014). I just submitted my 1st pack two days ago, so as of the moment, i am still waiting for that important mail from NMC London, i know how hard it is to wait but just add more patience and we will all get there. I will also mention here some helpful tips that i've learned while undergoing through this process. Btw, i am 28 yrs old, currently working in a private hospital here in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. May 2014: (About 2nd week) i took my IELTS academic exam under British Council, by the end of the May, i got my score. We are all aware that NCM'S IELTS grade requirement is minimum of score 7 in all sub-tests. So luckily, i got what i needed. http://www.nmc-uk.org/Registration/Joining-the-register/Trained-outside-the-EU--EEA/International-English-Language-Testing-IELTS/ June 19, 2014: I'm back in the Philippines for my 43 days annual leave, i took advantage of applying to some recruitment agencies (you can find a lot especially when you are in Manila), i tried to phone and e-mailed Greenfields and Aureus in Las Pinas. Greenfields quickly responded to my Queries but then they prioritize those with Decision Letter already, so they advised me to apply first then get back to them. On the other hand, Aureus is more accommodating, i personally visited their offices (Few Kilometers from SM Southmall) then i gave them my CV, luckily, their partner Agency in London (which is MEDACS) is looking for staff Nurses for Midessex NHS Trust, at this point, Aureus is not requiring a DL, as long as you passed the required IELTS and hospital experience, they will gladly accomodate you. After 3 days, Aureus called and informed me that their partner agency in London (MEDACS) will phone me any time of the day for initial interview. I received a call from Medacs, and immediately informed me that it will be the initial interview, she asked my about my nursing career, experiences and my ielts score, it was like a 10-15 minutes light interview, and she will tell you right after the converstion if you passed. So again i passed it and told me she will send the requirements tahts i need to submit like photocopies of passport, proof of address, Valid IDs, copy of NMC, qualification certs, police check, IELTS and references. And she also scheduled me for a drug calculation exam which you have to pass and get a 100% score (yup, perfect score, but don't worry since it will be an easy one, simple conversions, fluid regulation, correct dosages ect). July 2014 : After passing the drug calculation and submitting some requirements, MEDACS finally scheduled me for a skype interview with the representative from NHS Trust. I did the interview at home, due to proximity (It is supposed to be done in Aureus office). The interview went well about 45 minutes, there were 2 interviewer, both were not intimidating and nice so im very confortable the entire duration of the interview, they will just inform you through email if you pass. After 2 days, i received an email from MEDACS on behalf of Midessex NHS Trust confirming that i passed the interview and offered me a conditional letter, btw, i already submitted my NMC application on June 30, 2014. I immediately prepare all the documents needed for pack 1 so as to avoid delays in submitting my 1st pack: Here is the link for online form (for those trained outside Europe) https://forms.nmc-uk.org/forms/overseasrequest Here is the Information booklet in Registering as Nurse or Midwife (be sure to read this one) http://www.nmc-uk.org/Documents/Registration/Registering%20as%20a%20nurse%20or%20midwife%20from%20outside%20EU%20or%20EEA.pdf Make sure to have those stage 1 requirements be certified (yes, you hear me right CERTIFIED!) copies of passport (page with personal details), birth certificate and registration certificate (like PRC board cert and Saudi Council Accreditation cert) and marriage cert if you have. July 15, 2014: I called the NMC since 15 days have passed and i did not receive my 1st package, they asked me if i have relatives in UK so that they will also send it to them. i gave my friends address! tip: check your local post office in there in the Philippines, mine was received by our local post office on July 14, 2014 but only delivered on August 05, 2014, i am already in Saudi Arabia, so make sure to check your local post office. Since some of my documents will be coming from the Philippines, i just sent my 1st pack by the end of August... and right now I am waiting for my 2nd pack... will update you guys once i receive it. Goodluck to you all
