RN in Dermatology Florida
Hi Not sure where to post this exactly because there isnt a dermatology specific thread. I am a RN who recently started at a Dermatology and Surgical Center. The Physician has never hired an RN. He has a APRN and PA and MAs in his office. Any RN's out there who work derm that can give me any guidance on your exact role in a derm office? I currently am learning the ropes of his office, assisting in surgical proceudres, and helping with general derm visits. Thanks for any info!

Impossible workloads?
I read all the highlights, charts, "boxes" in the chapter, chapter review, and anwser the questions at the end of the chapter. I never read ALL of the bulk of the chapter. I've obtained A's and B's so far in my tests. I also had all As in my prereqs........but I'm going to focus on understanding the information and if I gets Bs or Cs I'll be OK.

Vascular Access Team---best route?
Hi I'm an excited nursing student!! I'll be graduating the summer of 2017 I've worked as a veterinary technician for the past 10 years and have decided to pursue nursing as my new profession. I'm am interested in hearing how you became an Infusion Nurse or part of a vascular access team? Or simply any suggestions or tips you can offer. My dream is to eventually be proficient in vascular access/PICCS etc. I believe that this area will fit me for many reasons: 1. I was (with animals) excellent at placing IV's and was sought out for "hard sticks" and I enjoyed the procedure 2. I was passionate about the simple fact that an easy IV placement can make such a difference to a frightened (animal in my case, but I can assume many humans as well) patient. 3. I enjoyed ultrasound I still have MUCH to learn about nursing, and I may find another area that sparks my interest. However, as of now I am focused on how to achieve this after graduation Thanks in advance for any advice or the story of how you fell into vascular access or infusion nursing.

Help for pre-nursing students
I just was accepted into nursing school!!!! Starting in January I'll finally be a nursing student!!!! For the TEAS I studied the ATI study guide. I also needed help in the math section so my husband (an engineer......so he likes math [emoji44]) tutored me. I took about 1 month to dedicate to studying for that test before taking it. As far as pre-reqs I maintained an A in all of them. I did this not only for GPA, but my school was based on a point system and you were awarded points for your grades in the pre-req classes. I also elected to complete my CPR certification before applying so I could include that in my application package. I'm not sure if that helps at all, but it can't hurt.

Hi everyone!! Any pre-nursing students for Eastern Florida State College palm bay program!
Hi! Jumping in here, I am also applying for the Palm Bay 2016. You can look me up on FB under Jill Marie Cozza if you all want to. I am also extremely nervous already. I just took the TEAS and did OK, 71 overall, 83 reading, I will have 35 points.......I am praying this is good enough to get in. October seems so far away, wonder if we will find out mid October. I am planning on attending the Wed., July 15, 2015, 2 - 4 PM, Melbourne Campus Auditorium, Bldg. 4 orientation.
