Anyone hear anything from Union yet?

Hey @smcartier congrats!! When did you apply??? I've been waiting a long time and still haven't even gotten my eval......I called after 4 weeks of waiting and they misplaced all of my stuff, so had to start over. UGH!!

Thanks for the info! I just looked up the program and I am going to apply. I see the deadline is in October...I hope it doesn't fill before then. This is the cheapest ABSN program I have found, so I am definitely interested. Do you know how full it is? Thanks!!

Okay thanks!! :) I applied just this week because I literally just found out about this program. I just received a confirmation email for my application and I am hoping it doesn't take too long to process. It says 2-4 weeks, but they said that they are delayed right now due to the high volume, so I am hoping that I hear by end of Oct. at the latest!

Okay thanks @eagerbeaver13!! What part of South Dakota are you from? I live in San Diego, CA...so this would obviously be an ENORMOUS lifestyle change haha. How long/how much is the program you are going to?!

Hmmm okay. My GPA is lower than that, so I may not be much of a contender anymore.

Thanks for the info! I am a little worried though because the program I am applying to is a newer one a the North Dakota State campus in Aberdeen, and that seems like a teeny town! Are you from South Dakota @kellseybellsey ?

@layintracks Would you mind posting your stats? I couldn't really find any info. on previously admitted students to Union, so I have no idea if I am even in the running!

@kpetry03 I looked at the classes we would take at Union and I've taken Microbio. and Stats already...did you talk to someone about being able to transfer classes?

Oh cool! Ya it's a wonderful place, but I think Tennessee could be cool for a little while!?

Hey everyone, I haven't seen any threads about South Dakota State University and their nursing program. I know that they have an accelerated program in Sioux Falls and recently opened one in Aberdeen, SD. I am not from South Dakota but am applying all over. Anyone have any information regarding either of these programs? I have already applied and have an interview but would love more insight.

Oh cool! I went to Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, and decided I wanted to do nursing but they don't have nursing and I did not want to transfer and risk not getting into a nursing program even, so I got my BS in Health and Human Science to take care of the pre-req's!

I hope we find out sooner than Jan if we are in or not though So stressful. I emailed asking about a possible timeline of when we would hear! And ya we did long distance for a couple of years already...(broke up a lot). Live in the same city now, so it's great, but that may all change again!! It'd be nice if you go to school in TN for your relationship, how ideal!

Thanks!! Good to know there is not an interview...because that'd be a long way for me travel just for an interview, haha. There is an orientation right? Does anyone know when that could be/is? I am trying to figure out when we would know if we are in or not. I am waiting on a few programs and I am worried about the timeline, because I'd love to be able to choose and not just have to go to one by default since I haven't heard from the others. I am most worried about when we will hear from this one, since it starts late Jan! So far, I really like this program though from what I have read. I think it would be an adventure to leave CA for a little and live in TN...hard part would be having a long distance relationship though, hmmm.

Hey versionthu, I got into this program and honestly really like it. It sounds crazy that you are expected to get a 90 on every test, BUT the way it was explained sounds doable....You have one class at a time, and you have a group you are with the program. You take your test, and then take the test again with your group, points from the group test can be added to your test. If you still don't pass, you can discuss questions with the teacher and possibly get more points. And if you still don't have pass, you have 48 hours to study more and retake it that following Monday. I was worried about this as well, but it honestly sounds doable and they wouldn't choose you for the program if your grades and test scores did not reflect an ideal student for this. I don't think my stats are crazy high, just average, and I got in. I got a 79 on my teas, and overall GPA 3.2. The no working thing would be hard because I've always worked in school, but you could probably babysit or something. Honestly, if this is going to be your first loan for school, I'd go for it..it'll pay off in the end. I am hesitant because I already have large loans from my undergrad. Good luck!

Hey all! I applied to the Hendersonville campus as well for January and am anxious to hear. I like just applied, but was hoping we would know in a month...but it looks it'll be more like 2 or 3! I am from California, so Tenneseee will be a HUGE move if I end up getting in/going there, and I will most likely be wanting a roomie :) Do you guys know if there is an interview? I know there was a priority deadline for this program, but I wonder what that even means, because the final deadline is 9/15...hmm....My friend just started an ABSN program in Nashville which is like 20 min from Hendersonville and she said she loves it out there (shes from CA too), so that's reassuring. But ya, I'd love to know ASAP. Post if anyone hears anything!
