Synaptic NP, I can assure you that I am NOT a troll. I have done some research and it has shown that it is in fact possible to do this, but more common with accelerated programs. Although I was accepted into an accelerated nursing program, I chose to do the traditional route because I did not think that I would actually learn anything in 1 year vs 2 years of nursing school.

Hello! I have recently graduated with my BSN and passed the NCLEX. I am wanting to go directly to a FNP (Family Nurse Practitioner) program that does not require any type of RN experience. Does anybody know if this sort of program exits? And if it is a 100% online program, that would absolutely ideal too!! But beggars can't be choosers - ... so even if there are mandatory campus visits, that is okay.. Thank you in advance!!! EDIT: Of course when I speak of the 100% online program, I'm speaking purely of the didactic portion. NOT of the clinical portion, which of course, cannot be done online.

From what I understand, CA is not one of the compact states, unlike CO. For this reason, I would recommend that you would just take the NCLEX in CO. Otherwise, you will have to pay to be a RN in the state of CA as well as CO. You do NOT have to withdraw your application in CA.
