1. I am also starting in the Jan 2017 cohort, part time =)
  2. Hi, How does this work exactly - calling Simmons and pulling app from GU? I am waiting to hear from GU still....
  3. What does it say as your status on the SURFS webpage? Mine says "Committee ready"
  4. Did you get an interview with that status??
  5. Just logged onto the page, and saw

Application Status: Complete Ready for Review

Decision: Committee Ready

...what does this mean? I haven't gotten anything via email

I'm from Ventura, CA (3 hours away from San Diego). San Diego is a really nice place. I'm currently in the works of getting my first assignment as a travel nurse, and have been repeatedly advised to work within CA for my first assignment while I apply to other state licensing - my given choices right now are San Diego and San Francisco. I prefer SF but the most openings are at Rady Children's right now for newbies; to start this late July. How has travel nursing been like for you so far? My goal was to get out of CA (but stay away from really hot places; I'm used to living in 65-75 degree weather yr round). GOod luck and enjoy CA! :)
