Insubordination????
Hello, I myself am a nurse but i am asking this on behalf of my wife who is an LPN. Before she recieved her nursing license she worked as a unit secretary at the same hospital she is at now. Today they dropped a bomb on her an she was told she had to do med pass/LPN duties and secretary at the same time. She is somewhat capable of this but feels she is going to make med errors. Is it insubordination to tell the suprvisor NO?

Need Help!!!!
I recently did my preemployment testing for a nursing home job. I did my screening at our local hospitals OHS. It showed a false positive, i'm saying false because I do not use anything like that. So i lost that job. Now the hospital themselves called and offered me a job, I don't know what to do. Can i request to test at their sister hospital?? I do not want to be discriminated by the OHS staff and DR plus I now do not trust them as far as I can throw them!!! Can they even refer that to the facility of my previous screening???

insurance
I mean not even offering the opportunity to have them done because of the lack of insurance. This was an initial visit with a Rheumatologist and he just kind of blew them off. This person is an independant drywaller who can afford the tests but was not offered the option because the Dr only looked at the insurance page of his notes.

Internet in ER: Good or Bad??
I think that having the internet in the ER can be a great help. I couldn't count how many times I have looked things up real quick that changed the treatment and outcome for the pt for the better. I don't see why people would get wrote up if they are not on bad sites.

insurance
Is it legal for a doctor to not run tests on a pt based on their insurance.
