Graduated with BSN Dec 13, had a job offer that same week and was scheduled to start after passing NCLEX. Had to give it up before even starting due to relocating to a different state! ? Been here since March and am scheduled to start my job on the 21st! Cannot wait!! ?

Well let me know if you hear! I am pulling for you!! I have not had a chance to celebrated yet. I have been super busy the last couple days but I am going to the beach in the morning for a quick getaway and it's on! ?

I don't mind! I actually had a missed call/voicemail from her last Wednesday, it was at like 10 til 6 pm which kind of surprised me. I returned her call within 2 mins because I had just stepped away from my phone for a second. Got her voicemail! Called again the next day and missed her.. Finally connected with her when she called Friday around 515-530.

Yes it does seem like it would be hard to get all of those things done by July 1st! I kinda thought that the 2 residencies would begin at the same time and that the first week of general orientation would be the group of all. Glad you were able to find that out from HR! I hope you hear good news soon!

July 21st! How about med/surg?

Yeah I struggle with the waiting game myself! I have applied to some other residencies but I really feel like this is The One.. So for the next few days I am just praying and waiting. How about you?

I'm glad it went well! :) I think mine did too! I didn't ask how many they were taking though but on the day of the open house I heard 4. That could be between L&D and mother/baby, I am not sure. I wish I would've asked!! For the interview it was myself and a panel of 6, the L&D/antepartum nurse manager, the clinical manager I believe she said, 2 other coordinators for day and night shifts as well as 2 RNs that currently work in L&D. They didn't say how long before they made a decision, but at the open house is did ask and they said a couple weeks.

Hi! I just joined Allnurses and am a graduate nurse looking for a job in the Atlanta area as well. I went to the Open house at DeKalb on June 12 for nurses interested in L&D & Mother/Baby. So exciting you got a call back for another interview! I did too :) and I was just wondering how did your second interview go? Was it similar to the first panel at the open house? Thanks!
