Can a shy person be a good CNA?
Same problem Angela.... I am such a shy person who cannot start conversations.... I am from different place and culture where I am not allowed to speak top of my voice... It's very difficult for me to put my thoughts to words even though my mind thinks lot... Throughout the hospital they call me very quiet girl and some of the nurses will not like to do shift with me because I won't speak much... It takes time for me to get along with people... I was just newly hired... I am thinking to take few steps to overcome all these... May be it's funny but I don't know whether it works... The whole next I am just going to try to spend ten minutes in my patient room just chatting something... I am just going to see whether I am able to keep conversation for ten minutes at first

Difficulty to fix ventilator low peep alarm
Hi , I had a copd patient who had history of chf and severe cellulitis in both legs. She had an order for bipap prn. Her wheezes was very high that we could her out if her room. Very laboured breathing. I connected bipap, made sure there is no leak anywhere on the connections, around her face. The machine was constantly alarming for low peep every five minutes . I am 100 percent sure there is no leak. Is there any other reason for this alarm... Help me please .. To my knowledge I thought only leak is low peep alarm .

PVC and PAC in ECG rhythm
Hi I am a new icu nurse.... Working on to get knowledge in ECG strips ... How significant is these two rhythms? When you see monitor alarming for multiple PAC and PVC ... What should I do? I have never seen any of my senior nurses informing to doctors... I don't know what happens? And what should I do? I just don't want to blindly follow without knowing reasons... And I am a kind of person who never speaks loud or bring my thoughts out until and unless I have felt ease with them... So passive... Could anyone help me?
