  1. Hey Jordan, First off, love the school..... It so modrrn and comfortable, besides being convenient for me. This is a second degree for me but I did have to take all the science prerequisites (Life Span / Micro bio / Chemistry/ A&P 1 +2 ) My best advice for both A&P is to take Prof. *******..... I had him and got an A, obviously you need to study but he makes it clear what's need to know and what's nice to know when it comes to the exams. Luckily I had a 4.0 when I applied (has gone down s bit since), and had a 82 TEAS. My best advice would be to endure a spot in (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) class (not sure if he does summer but it's possible). Remember that the A&P1 super important since they figure that grade twice in terms of ranking you for admission. Regarding the computer class, I was able to use previous credits to cover it so I have no answer for you on that one. I would also get your hands on the ATI Teas study guide to help with the test.......and plan on taking it a couple of times. Hope this helps a bit
  2. Hi Jordan66, I'm currently in Gateways Nursing program and will graduate in May 2016. What specific questions do you have? Do you have most of the prerequisites already done or will be working on those at Gateway? Ask anything you want and I'll try to provide you an honest answer.
  3. I've had a good 1st year, personally I think the program is great (some instructors better than others) but that's like anywhere. I would definitely recommend working the least amount of hours as you can and still get by with. Just ensure you follow through on all the deadlines for medical/vaccines and everything else during the summer. Good luck --
  4. Hi, Currently finishing up first year at GWCC, so I'll answer your questions. Passing grade required for each semester is a 74, and most of the clinicals are evenings (3-10). They do ask for volunteers for morning Clinicals but only for about 25 out of the 100 students.
  5. Just turned 40, with a previous BA degree in Political Science and 6 years of active duty with the USMC. Wife graduated from ADN program and is now working. Took advantage of tuition waiver program in state and also GI Bill to make a career change the obvious choice. Got accepted into ADN and will be starting in the fall. Plan on a RN to MS program in the future.
