Going into nursing school without any experience?
Yes. Really after fundamentals of nursing, you can be ready to apply to work in an area as a PCT or CNA. These are some really good feedbacks and advice:yes:

Why Do You Want To Be A Nurse?
I want to be a nurse to be an advocate to the patients and be able to apply my knowledge in areas that would improve their health. It's a challenging field but with the right attitude you can help save lives. I want to make my patients feel good about themselves and putting the effort to move forward with them in improving health needs is good for enhancing that individual mental, spiritually and physical well-being. :)

Going into nursing school without any experience?
The CNA program from where I'm is a fee of $699! I was wondering should I get my CNA or wait for something while in nursing school? What year in nursing school can you be eiligble to be a student aide? :)

Working at a daycare good start for Nursing?
I'm in the same boat. I was doing some research as to where they offer training for CNA. Some are in nursing homes. I was going to make some calls today and see what they have to offer. I was wondering the same thing

Working at a daycare good start for Nursing?
I have been working in the Day care for 2 years now. It's a good way to develop skills towards interacting with parents about the children, enhancing ciruculum for children throughout the day that will help develop areas such as cognitive, physical, creative social/emotional skills. I work will different age groups but I mainly work with infants/toddlers. If you want to get into pediatrics, that type of experience is good. Good luck:up:

work for a student nurse
Thank you for your answer. The stage I'm in for my education is the process of completing my pre-reqs. I'm taking the last 3 classes which are communication between cultures, Library research online and General Microbiology. I'm obtaining my associate in nursing. I always thought having a CNA would be good for experience before getting into the program. But I thought it would be other experience that would also be good beside CNA. By it being certification it makes sense. Another thing, I keep hearing bad things about being a CNA but I shouldn't let that detoriate my career. I will look into it. Thank you.

Thank you for the information. The area of nursing I would like to work in is the Recovery Room as the PACU after surgery. My options are still open towards specialty. My other areas I was looking into are physical therapy and pediatrics.

work for a student nurse
Thank you for the response I was thinking about being a nursing assistant but I really do not want to be a CNA. I was thinking about PCT instead. So far I have put in applications as a Patient sitter and patient transporter at the hospital. I appreciate your response.

work for a student nurse
I would like to apply for a job that is related to my field before I get into the nursing program and while I'm in the nursing program. I have my CPR certification and I had a experience in a hospital and nursing home setting in the year of 2009, Health Occupations class senior year. What are some jobs that I can have to get in the entry level towards the nursing field as a student? Thank you for your response

Preparing for the nursing program
I'm currently on the waiting list for the nursing program and I have 3 pre-reqs that I'm in the process of finishing up. I put myself on the waiting list in November 2014. In the time in between, what can I do to prepare myself for the nursing program? I'm also looking into job shadow as we speak, talking to other nurses in the field of nursing that I know and have been reading my AP clinical applications book and going over drug calculations. Thank you for your response.:)
