i strongly agree with u , but i think this issue should be raised to patient quality officers since its been interfered with a patient safety & i know that every delay happens only nurses took the blame for it ...huh , thats why u have to be assertive & only care for patient safety .

Hi from reading your word i understand that she is your senior , well me my self i've worked with such bad behavior people , my advice to you dont complain to the nurse manager youu only making the situation worse , be patient , try to understand their personalities , for the beginning follow her orders & then by the time when you understand & get familiar with basic routine , take a few steps ahead of her for example : chick your assignment , go to your assigned OR room chick & set up your room . believe me you'll get every one respect & support by the time . good luck .

let me say this u r lucky having a 30 minutes . in the hospital i used to work its been only 15 minutes , i know its too hard but i guess team work may solve this thing ... Example : while the circulating nurse is transferring the pt to RR & giving endorsement , the third nurse or the assistant could set up the room , the scrub nurse set up all instruments & supplies that well used in the surgical procedure & the nurse anesthetist well prepare for anesthesia ..

hi first of all congratulation for being promoted OR is a very nice area where u can focus on one patient unlike the other units . time management is critical in OR my advice 4 u as beginner is to observe every thing in the area while u r still training , every detail in the unit is important . always stick with policy & procedure , sterility etc..
