I don't think OP is looking for a shortcut. They state they have a DNP, and despite being in education it seems like they want to know if there is a track that will consider some of the work they have already done that is non clinical. I listed two programs who offer CRNA certificates for those who are post doctoral. They still take as much time as its usually a lock step program. The course load would just not include the "hybrid" DNP courses and the focus would be on the core anesthesia and such as advanced patho and pharm for anesthesia.

Barry University and South college both have Post Doctoral CRNA certificates.

GPA 3.6. Didn’t submit GRE scores w my application. I have 4 years experience PCU, ICU, utilization management, and research. I applied MSN-FNP and was accepted PT although I chose to decline for a FT spot elsewhere. I would have taken me just as long to do the MSN PT as it will to do DNP FT

CAS will just say verified while Oasis will say under review. Interview request (if required) and acceptance come in an email. Oasis did not update upon my acceptance they said it takes 1-2 weeks.

Yes I accepted an offer at UCF. I prefer full time. Although they do not have an MSN anymore only DNP. The part time MSN track at USF would have taken me 8 semesters while the full time DNP at UCF will take 9 semesters so it works out better for me

I think it’s a bit harder to say this year due to covid. My application has been verified since late last year (oct/nov) and under review within 2 weeks. Interview request the end of Jan and acceptance last week. Although they offered me part time FNP and I wanted Full time so I declined. That opens up a spot for someone else.

I’m not sure how they determine who does and doesn’t interview but not everyone has to. And I’m not sure how they determine how quickly they give a decision or not. I have my interview was on 1/21 and I still have no decision ?. She said if I didn’t hear anything within 3-4 weeks to email her. It does make me a little nervous but holding our hope

Congrats! I interviewed last Thursday. I’m hoping to get a decision this week. I applied to the MSN track.

Hey my application was submitted in the beginning of October and verified by October 16th. Under review November 16th. But I was able to sign in and see it was under review prior to getting the email about a week before. Hope this helps!

Hi I just wanted to start a thread for those who have applied to the University of Central Florida for their Doctor of Nursing Practice in Family Nurse Practitioner for fall 2020.

I did receive my email today saying my application is under review. I figure no decisions will be made until next year but hoping decisions aren’t too delayed.

Good luck with everything! Study diligently and def make a few friends to form a reliable study group. We split up the chapters and made study guides and would get together and quiz one another on our respective chapters. I couldn’t have made it through without them. yes currently working thank god!

Do you plan on returning to your home state after ? Makes sense to do the ASN program. Research all options as many MSN programs require bridge clases for nurses without BSN so just weigh out the time.

Do you have any experience in healthcare? It was easy for me the first semester but I also had base knowledge. When I got to fundamentals I felt like I was learning why I was told to do certain things as the tech. Or why the nurse provided certain interventions. It is a lot of coursework so you have to be disciplined. The professors provide the time especially if you speak up. They want your success. I would get chem out of the way and go for the BSN. They didn't offer that option when I was there. I'm completing my bachelors at UCF.

Just say you hate nursing, find a new job, and let your license expire and never ever renew it again. You are allowed to hate it but I hope you leave healthcare all together. PAs still have to see the same patients that “don’t give a damn about their own lives”

Mostly white leather shoes. You can pick your clinical site unless too many people want the same one then professors will intervene. I lived in the milk district my farthest clinical was in Ocoee first semester at health Central Park. From there I did FH winter park for basic adult on a SPCU and FH women for maternity. Advanced adult was Neuro PCU/ICU FH south and less FH children and a shift at children's urgent care. Practicum on cardiacs PCU at FH south. That's what I chose for clinical. Some people went to tuskawilla skilled nursing during fundamentals. Some people went to FH altamonte as oppose to south.

I didn't buy their book package at all. I bought my books through amazon and chegg. I googled the isbn and bought it or rented it from the cheapest site. You can also get an edition older, per my professors they did not mind stating that most times it was a typo, or the page number may be off by a few for readings. I bought two scrub tops and two bottoms and a a navy jacket (no school patch) for if I got cold during class or clinicals.
