  1. Thanks. Any info is of great help. I just wish they would change the essay question for this year's application already so I could start.
  2. No I'm planning on applying for JC as well but if I can for Wall to double my chances I will. Lol Hopefully someone gets back to us soon because I want to prepare ahead of time.
  3. I said a shoe in if the credentials are there. If it was merit only then individuals with less than stellar credentials wouldn't get in so that's not accurate either. It doesn't matter the reason why they've chosen not to if they are trying to now then there could be an emphasis on selection with the right credentials. Again it was a question based on my constantly reading and hearing about males being needed and desired in the field.
  4. I think people are misunderstanding or didn't read the post properly. I stated that the credentials would be there but wondered if male status might bump a person up. Affirmative action is in other fields why not nursing selections. I was just curious.
  5. I'm wondering if any of the male nurses and/or nursing students feel that being a male gave you an edge to getting into nursing school? Being that there are so few males in the field and applying to schools are you almost a shoe in if your application materials are good?
  6. Your mother cares about the success of her child as any parent should. However, missing Dean's list once isn't the end of the world. That being said, do you feel you slacked off somewhere hence your just missing the list by that small fraction? Even if this is the case you can't be perfect and pressuring yourself too much will make you crash and burn. Just relax and do your best.
  7. Congrats to all of you that are attending. I'm hoping some of you can assist me. I plan on applying for the next cohort. I'd really like some tips on the application process and studying for the hesi. I'm trying to get ahead of the game before the app opens up later this year. Any help is greatly appreciated.
