Also I am going to call the school in which I was tested, so that I could be given my money back or maybe the correct card. like I said before I paid $225 for a useless card. I applied with a out of state traveling agency. Give them all important documents. All of a sudden she is asking me for a varicella titer. I went to my doctor and she give me a varicella shot instead of a titer, MD says it is no problem. Send my verifications papers to the traveling agency. Agent says, I need the titer. I just paid my money for the shot.. Well any way. I obtained my ACLS and BLS throught a private CEU company, which I had to attend and pay $225 , and They will not accept that. The company is approved by the State board of nursing. Traveling company says it has to be with the American Heart Association. Now my start date has been changed. The traveling agency says I have to have proof that I was exposed to chicken pox, but I thought the Varicella shot took care of that. Questions should I just move on to the next agency, are stick it out with this one.

All about staffing has a orientation, which you have to attend before working agency. Does anyone have any experience with this agency. If so , do they pay for the orientation, and what are their cancellation frequency. How do you grade this agency between 1-5. 1 being poor and 5 being excellent. Finger prints were submitted earlier, but it still pop up here and there. When I think that the matter is resolved it pops up again. I am a person who travels a lot, sometimes it is for maybe 1-2 years in different cities, with my family. Sometimes it is a problem obtaining a job and sometimes it is not. I am sick of explaining the situation every 1-2 years for the last 3 years with different companies. It is a headache. I have been a nurse for 13 years without a problem, and all of a sudden this slanderous situation happens. Just venting.. I apologize. But I appreciate your response. thank you

thank you for your reply.. Maybe I should change my name legally, but It will be hard because I have children and grandchildren. And if I retain my birth and married name it will take years to clear this up..like I said before i had my self fingerprinted and I sent the results to the florida law enforcement department, But its beyond that, my credit at one point my driver license which is cleared at this time. Its beyond me, it has already been 2-3 years. I guess I have to have faith in the system. Hopefully without being hungry .

What I usually do is , when the family enters the unit towards the room, I let the family members enters first then I proceed behind them and stand to the opposite side of the bed, or chair if room permits. During discussion regarding the patient with the family members I stand 2 feet away while conversing face to face. If the patient prognosis is poor, I call in the chaplain, and spend extra time with the family members before the chaplain arrives. The ICU and the CCU are very personalized units whereas the nurses and family members are caught up in an emotional rollercoster at any given time, therefore it takes a special specialized nurse to interact with the patient and family members, because it is not only the family members who are touchy and feely, sometimes its the patient.

The paper work is a nightmare. The company only pays you for one hour and the admission paper work is equal to about 2 hours, also you may have to return to the office to touch up some information. I respect HH nurses. Two admissions a day times 4 or 5 days is equal to a lose of 8 to 10 hours of free work do the math. six cases a day ( 4 Follow up and 2 admissions), why not 6 follow Up patients a day, you will save time and time. Just venting.
