Johns Hopkins 2015 ABSN & Masters Entry
I called to ask about the ISIS status. The admissions rep said that the my do that so you can apply for financial aid-- since the deadline is Sunday. It doesn't necessarily mean we are accepted. I got the same answer about them not having made some final decisions yet... So.. Keep hope alive!

Johns Hopkins 2015 ABSN & Masters Entry
I already had an ISIS account from fall semester Biostatistics. I have two records now- one for MSN and one for special undergrad. It could mean something or it could just be a placeholder.. Fingers crossed!

George Washington University ABSN/VBSN Fall 2015
Hi r0nnie! I am not sure how long it has been open-- the VBSN cohort is a bit different. I just went to visit the campus this week. The facility is awesome and the faculty and staff were incredibly professional, and informative. I really liked the atmosphere-- it was friendly. VBSN candidates are mixed in with ABSN.

Where to get a ABSN + MSN in Midwifery?
Check out Shenandoah University in Virginia. They have an ABSN and then they are one of the top midwifery programs in the country- you also get a 50% tuition waiver on your MSN if you graduate with their ABSN...

On line pre-reques
If you are going to do online pre-reqs- ensure your college takes them-- and then use an accredited established school-- some community colleges offer them-- NVCC in Virginia (which had its own nursing program, has them), UNE, etc- stay away from the University of Phoenix and Kaplan type schools.. NVCC has them online but they are kind of hybrids-- you may have to go to the campus for the labs over the course of two weekends.. UNE labs are online-- but they are true labs-- you have to order the kits, etc... And do the experiments at your house... Also-- these classes are harder.. Johns Hopkins also has some of their science pre-reqs online too--

Did not pass my patho class and now idk what to do
I had to retake some classes before applying to a program-- not because I failed but because of labs. It is definitely painful to be on track and then have to take the same courses again. It does feel like time and money spent. Try to focus on the positive-- you are still in a program- stay the course. There is no easy way no matter what you do... You have to push through. If you apply to a different program they are going to see the failed pathophys. You are by no means trapped, although it can feel that way. Keep your eyes on your goal, and try to find some time for yourself so you can do some reflection before next semester. Find out what distractions kept you from being successful that semester. See if you can remove them. See if you can get some time for yourself before you start the next semester to unwind. Start fresh. You can do this!!
