  1. @NICUmomNICUnurse WOW!, thank you so much for replying and providing that information! I tried to send you a private message, but apparently I haven't posted enough to have access to private messaging. I have so many more questions. ? How long have you been working in your unit? Does your unit float? Average census? My email is [email protected] if you would rather respond privately. Totally understand if not. Thank you again for the great information!
  2. Hi there - I was wondering if anyone had information about the different NICUs in Santa Rosa, CA. Moving there soon and plan to apply to Sutter, Kaiser, and Memorial. I have over three years of level 3 experience - one year in an 84-bed unit and 2.5 years in a 35-bed unit. Thank you.
  3. I have three years of experience and work in the East Bay. I make $76.25/hr ($71 base and $5.25 differential for evening shift). We also get $3/hr for weekend shifts. I'm making approximately $126,000 a year. Average 1 bedroom apartment in this area is $2k.
  4. Hi everyone, I was also accepted for this August! Looking forward to meeting you all!
  5. @pursue @DandySandy I was pretty bummed but am definitely going to apply again. I'm currently retaking Microbiology as I took it a while ago during undergrad and got a C. Hopefully I'll be getting an A and reapplying for the summer 2015 start date. My non-science GPA was a 3.4 and my science GPA will be a 3.5 so hopefully that will be good enough! I work as a CNA at a local SD hospital and have my BS in Public Health...I'm not sure how else to make my application more competitive. I hope you both get accepted!!! Fingers crossed.
  6. @pursue @DandySandy I also applied to the SD location but got a denial letter in the mail yesterday 5/5, unfortunately. However that means they have send out notifications so you should hear any day now. Best of luck to you both!
  7. @slasher0356 Thank you so much for replying to me and for your encouraging words! That is so strange that that happened with your application. Which campus were you accepted to? Do you mind me asking what your application was like in terms of grades, work experience and undergraduate degree? I'm going to reapply and apply to other programs until I get in.
  8. Congrats to everyone who got accepted! I applied for the San Diego location and got a rejection letter in the mail today. Has anyone else been rejected previously and got accepted the second time around? Any advice is appreciated!
