I got my acceptance yesterday to the RN-Dual! For us, our first 2 semesters are basically our "bridge" and after that we will have the same curriculum as the BSN-Dual starting Fall 2018.

Thank you! I have a coworker who is in orientation now for the Dual NP BSN-DNP program and He didn't get a decision for a month and a half... so I'm still holding out hope í ½í¸œ. I'll update when I hear, regardless of the decision! And congrats again!

That's awesome! Children's is wonderful! We had to make an ER visit there once (all is well, elbow injury). I'm down 280 a bit ☺️

Ohhhhh so you applied to the BSN-DNP program? There is an RN-DNP program for ADN nurses as well, which is what I have applied for. I feel a bit better now since they are different programs. Congratulations! I have a couple co-workers who must have graduated with you. Do you work in Bham?

I graduated in December as well! I applied for Dual FNP/ENP, so maybe that is why it's taking a bit longer. Did you graduate from a school local to samford?

Do you guys mind if I ask which track you are pursuing? Dual, FNP, informatics etc.?

Hey there! I'm waiting to hear back on my application, but I submitted on July 31st so I know it may be a while 😬 I'm a pretty fresh new grad, so I'm trying to steel myself for not getting through this cycle, but I know I'll be quite disappointed if I don't get in. It seems like you guys got responses fairly quickly. Maybe it's just taking a longer time because there were more applicants closer to the deadline? Either way I'm obsessively checking the application status page 😂

We don't start until next semester for n/w, but I don't think you get to choose

It's my understanding they are the only n/w instructors, the others teach the FT program :) I could be mistaken though

I believe we will have him the entire second year. Since our current instructor teaches the full first year, logistically it would be hard to see how she would teach second years at the same time

It might be a N/W thing. It was part of the orientation folder. It has a pre-test, then some explanations of how to calculate conversions and titrations etc. and some reading to be done before class starts.

Same here! I'm N/W so maybe that makes a difference? They talked about the HESI but I don't have any paperwork on it

The ones on meridy's are more expensive than the other sites! I'm ordering from MediSave and doing the engraving. I've heard that if you don't get it engraved it has a tendency to "walk off"...

They have to sign each line and date for the immunizations, it's all on the form

Woo hoo! I had a prenatal visit today and apparently it's standard to check rubella titres at your first appointment! I'm immune and that's one less shot :) plus, today's my glucose test so my dr. Is going to check my other titres while I'm here. Score!

My favorite was the copper finish, but I don't like the chocolate tube if they had a pink or teal colored tube on a copper finish I would go that route ?

Have you guys decided on you stethoscope? I think I'm going with the Classic II instead of the Lightweight.
