  1. The only way to learn is by doing. Thats what educators, practice and time is for. Follow your heart. The rest will follow. Getting a new job isnt a life sentence. Try it. If it isnt for you, theres always something else. Your alreafy a step aheaf by knowing you like LTC. There will always be jobs there.
  2. Let me first start by saying how sorry i am for the tragity you went and will, unfortunately have with you forever. With that said, my next comment is to embrace it as much as you safely can. No doubt you wish it never happened, but it did. Like it or not, you are changed.... some ways good and so,e very challenging. My challenge for you is to grab on tight the unimaginable compaddion you must have for the human race for even wanting to be a nurse now. You must need so much, yet you want to devote your life to helpng people you dont even know. What a testament to how spwcial you are. So as you go forward into the interview process, focus on your resilience and goals. No need to ho into detail, but it is perfectly ok to say you have endured horrific tragity which has opened your eyes to what is important in life... good health, both phisically and mentally. You have an insite nto patient distress that many nursres dont. It will shine through in your interactions with patients and coworkersrs.
  3. Im not clear. Are you actually in a program at WGU ? If so, what do you like and dislike? I have just applied there and would appreciate any opinions/advice.
