  1. I called the ND today and was told I was accepted. Still no letter/email. Guys don't give up. I know it seems so unfair and exhausting. The last two times I was rejected, Nassau was doing the point system. Points depending on your GPA, TEAS and residence. I didn't get in the first time. So, I increased my Teas to an advance to get extra points since I wasn't getting any nassau resident points. People with lower Teas than I had, were accepted. Someone with lower Teas and the same GPA that I had was accepted. I didn't get in for the second time and I was lost and confused. I knew it had to be something else that the other applicants had that I didn't. A trend most had. I'm assuming the trend now is having all the classes completed to have a better chance. That seemed to have topped Tea scores. Since Nassau's process is confusing, I wasn't chancing it. I applied to City Tech's nursing program also. They are sending letters in January. Guys, remember to have a plan B. I know Farmingdale and City Tech accept the Teas. Continue to work at it because you will reach your goal.
  2. Hi Geeman. I'm Enig and I did okay on the TEAS. I have a 81 in reading and 83 in math. Both of which I ran out of time for and a bad 67 on English. I finish all the classes, all the 33 credits. I did the last two classes over the summer, which were Bio-ethics and history. I have a total Gpa of 3.56 from all 33 credits. I'm a non-nassau resident and have been rejected twice before from nassau's nursing program. I was discouraged and wasn't going to try again until I spoke to a representative in the nursing department. She told me I stood a better chance this time around because they changed the requirements and I had almost all the classes but two ( Bio-ethics and history). She suggested I complete the the remaining classes and here I am =). I really hope my status is what it is. I have faith.
  3. Thank you guys. I'm applying one more time ( while still keeping my options open and applying to other programs) because I already have 30/ 33 credits that's needed as the prerequisites for Spring 2016. Hope you guys have a successful semester and more to come!
  4. thank you for the advice erose211. I talked to admissions and unfortunately I didn't get in. This is my second time applying, I just can't believe it! I'm not sure what's going on... I'm terribly sadden. I have: Ap - B Stats- B Eng- A Psych- A 78 Teas score. Not a Nassau resident. I thought getting an advance gave me extra points to make up for my lacking Gpa, but that wasn't the case. It really looks like this is not meant to be. So, I'm just going to move on from this, dust off and try other programs. Congratulations to the ones who got in and to the ones who didn't get in, dust off and know there's always another chance whether at Nassau or somewhere else.
  5. I'm still waiting for my letter. I hope I receive it this week. I'm not sure if the cause of delay is because I live in Queens, better than thinking it's bad news. Congrats you guys who got in so far!
  6. Hey you guys. Does anyone know the deadline for Fall 2015?
  7. I have all my classes completed...Did you take the chem regents and passed?
  8. I need just two classes to get an associate...I have so many credits also. I'm not sure, but does farmingdale look at the highschool transcripts? I was confused about that because they had a H.s level and a college level. I have everything checked off on the college level but not exactly for the H.s level, but I still received an interview. So I'm assuming that part is not what's deterring me from being accepted but probably my TEAS score which is a 73.
  9. What are your stats?
  10. Wowzers, okay =] Those are some great stats, maybe you're probably one of the first few to get your acceptance. My status hasn't change yet.
  11. I say it doesn't hurt to apply, but each semester is different. I have a 73 on TEAS and 3.46 on the 4 courses, but technically I was wait-listed then rejected because of the the application pool for Spring 2015. When I called administrations, they said due to a lot more applicants this semester I couldn't make the cut. The Fall 2014 pool was smaller and less competitive, so you never know? ( You get extra points for living in Nassau County... that can help in the long run)
  12. What are your stats like? =]
  13. I didn't check mail today, still haven't received anything... But I did receive this email from NCC administrations (last week) about proceeding to my next step of enrolling by registering online or advisement. I''m not sure since it didn't say anything about the nursing program.. not sure if it's an acceptance. I think I should call them...I've waited on it because I was waiting for a letter like everyone else.
  14. Has anyone check their Oasis account to see if there's any status change? Mines still remained the same.
  15. I'm also completing Micro...trying to earn an A. Glad I'm getting all the science courses out the way also so I can focus on the nursing cores when I do start.
  16. So I guess it's a good thing for me also...heh, hopefully >__
  17. Wow, how cool is that. You must have been filled with smiles.
  18. Oh okay, I live in Queens. So...I guess you received the Nassau resident points. ^__^ Are you also a NCC student? I heard from someone they counted that into the point system but I think that was for last semester.
  19. Do you live in Nassau, TheArchitect?
  20. Mines are: A&P 1- B Stats - B Eng- A Psych- A TEAS 73 (didn't get to finish the english and math section, so I had to pick answer choices at random.)
  21. I am...haven't received anything yet. I live in Queens.
  22. I'm sorry to hear that ada =( what were your stats like? * Sorry didn't read above posts. hoping you get in next time.
  23. Thank you for the quick response! How'd you get you test scores sent? I've been having problems with it, I just can't find Nassau CC on the list to send the scores on the ATI website. The copy you brought was the one printed off the ATI website, yes? And the lady had no problem with the one you brought her? Sorry for all these questions =] I'm not a Ncc student so I guess they are requesting one because they don't have one on file.
