  1. Hey guys, I was wait listed and I got a phone call this morning that someone had dropped out and a spot was available...yay! anyway, I saw some of you posting that orientation was last week, so i was wonder what were some of the things they talked about and if there was anything I had to do before classes start. thank you!
  2. I'm so guilty of that too lol
  3. Nothing! Just checked, hopefully by the end of the day we'll see something changed for the good
  4. i wonder what it'll say on oasis if we are denied. ie, will it say that or just stay the same saying wait listed. im sure if we were to get accepted itll change then
  5. fingers crossed! ill be checking my oasis account all day
  6. Very true. I did the same and took the earliest interview and went straight to work after.
  7. Thank you, ugh this makes me feel like they didn't like a large crop of the people they interviewed. I really hope we weren't any of them.
  8. I took my TEAS back in July and was interviewed the beginning of November. Arh101609, I'm in the same position with work and I completely agree this is wrong. I still have to apply for loans which I hope I will able to get within this small time frame.
  9. Mine says the same exact thing. That's so funny you mentioned that, I checked mine this morning hoping it was changed to something good
  10. Next week the latest!!! This is so agonizing! Thank you for calling and letting us know
  11. 150 interviews! That just made me feel like my chances just got very slim. That would be really awkward if it was a denial phone call.
  12. That's good to hear that they made the program larger. I read an article how nurses are high in demand, yet it's ridiculous how small the classes are for each school
  13. I'm curious how many people they interview, anybody know?
  14. Nope, nothing. Admissions told me letters go out around Dec 1st so hopefully this week we will all hear something. Really late considering classes start in January
  15. Good luck to all of you guys, I'm almost positive I'll be getting a denial because the nursing dept. won't accept my gen psych class. I spoke directly to the head of the dept. and she told me the advanced psych class I have doesn't constitute as a gen psych class. Good thing I applied to other schools. Again good luck and happy holidays
  16. I'm guessing they ask everyone different questions because I wasn't asked what was my greatest accomplishment in life.
  17. Nope, I haven't heard anything and I went for it in the beginning of the month. I think they are sending out all letters around Dec. 1st. I'm hoping it's a good sign that I haven't received anything yet lol
  18. Thank you, this waiting is very agonizing.
  19. Thank you for all this information! What did you get your bachelors in at Stony Brook? And do you have to take any summer classes/clinicals for the nursing program?
  20. Kelseyannemcd, I took it on the comp too. I thought it was great cause I got my score 2 hours after I finished the test. My friend had taken a paper test in Westchester and she had to wait almost a week to get her scores. 75 is still great as like you said you're above average. I didn't know the average TEAS was 70, that's a few point higher than NCC which is what I expected. Nicki12, I can't remember all the questions, they had asked me maybe 10-15. But a few were "where do you see yourself in 2 years", "will you be working when attending", "what are your study habits", "what kind of experiences have you had with nurses in your past". I hope this helps, when is your interview?
  21. I think it went well and I hope I gave the answers they were looking for. I had an interview with 2 women from the dept. I can't remember their names. The woman who I scheduled the interview with was running late so she wasn't there. I don't think any of us will find out till the thanksgiving/beginning of Dec about acceptances. How were the TEAS? Was yours on paper or computers?
  22. No problem and thank you. Good luck on the TEAS!
  23. Thank you! I scheduled my interview for next week. My few tips are make sure you have/get the ATI official TEAS review book, that's all I studied from and the format of the practice tests in the back are the exact same on the test. I also downloaded the app "TEAS V Exam Prep" on my phone/iPad for quick review, it wasn't exactly like the stuff I saw on the test but it was close. I found on my test, there were a lot of the math questions that I was able to solve by cross multiplying so I would definitely review that just in case. And lastly, eat before the test, if you're taking it in the morning. I unfortunately didn't and my stomach was growling halfway through and I felt like the people next to me could hear it lol
  24. I took it back in July at NCC since I applied to both and scored 81.3 Adjusted Individual Total Score: 81.3% ATI Academic Preparedness Level:Advanced Mean - National: 64.3% Mean - Program: 64.9% Percentile Rank - National: 90 Percentile Rank - Program: 92
  25. I got a letter too, I sent the woman an email this morning to schedule the interview. Yes, 50 students from however many are interviewed. I've seen the same thing that there isn't much info regarding Farmingdale, I'm not sure why.
