  1. Hey I have some questions for you. I'm almost done with my prerequisites. I need to take BIO201 and the HESI and I can apply to the MCCD nursing pool. I plan on doing this in Sept. The rest of my prerequisites will go as follows: Fall 2014 BIO202, FON241, Spring 2015 HCR240 and BIO205. I anticipate to apply to CEP/NAU May 2015. How long was your wait before you were accepted?
  2. My dear, I am 31 and have one more prerequisite to complete before I can apply to a nursing pool. The wait list is one 1-2 years here in Phoenix. While I'm waiting I will finish the other 4 prerequisites I have. Then I can apply to a concurrent enrollment program. By the time I begin actual nursing school I will be 32 or 33. I will graduate around 35-36....I did what you did. Had the kids and the marriage THEN went to school. Girl, don't give up! 25 is still young!!!!
  3. All I have left are the sciences...here's my game plan: Summer 2014: A&P 1, Fall 2014 Principles of Human Nutrition, Fall/Spring 2014/15 A&P2, Spring 2015 Microbiology and Spring 2015 Anatomy & Physiology. I go online for prereq's so I'm able to take two classes in one semester but have them separate...make sense?
  4. Any new news on this? PVCC would be my college of choice as it is closest to my home!
  5. I've seen other threads on here regarding BIO201 @ Rio online, however, they're older and I would like updated information. Here is some background info regarding my experience with Rio online: The most difficult class I've taken is CHM131 with the lab, online last year at Rio. I took the class from October 2013-February 2014. I received a 78% in the class because of the final (I failed the final but received an 87% on the midterm). Keep in mind I was also taking PSY230 and MAT142 along with CHM131. All of the midterms fell around the holiday season. It was incredibly intense and I've never been as stressed out in my life as I was back then. Currently I am taking PSY240 and BIO156. PSY240 is challenging but not like CHM131. BIO156 is so easy for me I feel like the class is a waste of time. Now that you know about my experience and level of ease with these online classes, here is my question; if you have taken CHM131, on a scale of 1-10 (ten being easy, one being not easy) how difficult isa BIO201? Is the final and midterm at a testing center? Is there a lab and an AYL due weekly? Thanks guys! P.S. I have four prerequisites left before I may apply for the nursing program I am interested in. Therefore, I will be taking these classes ONE at a time. BIO201 is the only class I will be taking this summer! (Oh, I'm also going to Mexico for a week and plan on doing the work in Mexico via the laptop and free WIFI...crummy I know!)
