  1. My points were well below 70. I made the first alternate list and was offered a place in early July. I did have a very high TEAS (in the 90's). I encourage you to take the TEAS and apply.
  2. Community College. I have teenagers that will be heading off to college sooner that I would like, so I needed to most cost effective route plus the shortest commute. I plan on getting my bachelors as soon as possible after I finish my associates degree.
  3. I'm in S. California, and you are right it is very competitive. I really didn't think that I would get in - but I did!
  4. Like others have posted, it does depend on the admissions criteria of the schools that you are going to apply at. However, based on my own recent experience (and I have similar grades to yours) stop stressing and apply! Save the stress for when you don't get in :) I applied to three schools and was offered places at two even though my 'points' for each program were far below what I was told would be needed to get in. I too had planned on retaking classes, and getting a CNA license to increase my chances. I am so glad that I just applied before doing any of that.
  5. Congratulations, Marli!
  6. I am #9 on the alternate list. However, I'm already accepted into a program that begins 7/24 (before SB orientation). Saddleback is my first choice, and my home school. Arrrgh, I almost would have preferred a rejection letter,
  7. I'm feeling the exact same way, so I hope it's a normal response :)
  8. Hi Everyone. I am new to this site. I'm 47, single with two teenagers. I start my ADN in the Fall.
  9. my points are very low for Saddleback (60) Pharm at Saddleback depends on the instructor. My class was straight forward. Quiz every week, based on the lecture slides, instructor pointed you towards the answers/test questions/need to know stuff. I spent about 8 hours a week studying. The other instructor requires a lot more physiology knowledge, but to be honest I found learning the drugs that way to be easier than straight memorization which I don't do as well at. I need to know how something works/the effects it has to remember.
  10. The final is cumulative. Quite generalized, and she gives a good review/study guide.
  11. I took pharmacology with Carrie Danko last semester
  12. Congrats on the GWC acceptance! I've spent the past 3 years earning an AA at Saddleback. Fingers crossed for us both :)
  13. Barbiegirl, did you get in at SAC? I got my acceptance letter last week :) I have an application in at Saddleback also.
