  1. Of course I am freaking out! There is a A LOT of information. Thank God we can use our books and study guide!
  2. I'm not sure if there is a part time track either. Never hurts to ask. I read somewhere that you have 5 years to complete the program from the time you start.
  3. Hey! I am doing the dual NP program. I turned in my FAFSA, and was approved. I do not have outside resources. It is my understanding as well that the webinar is what we have to do for now. I believe we have to go to the campus for orientation before clinicals. I am really looking forward to starting in the fall.
  4. Just spoke to admissions about the flu vaccine, and he said that they were extending the deadline on that requirement.
  5. Meowmixer, How did you go about changing your course of study?
  6. I can't wait to start in August! I look forward to being in classes with ya'll, and overcoming our future challenges.
  7. Thanks, Meowmixer. I appreciate the support.
  8. Just need a place to vent. My husband does not want me to go to school. He did not want me to finish my BSN, and I always told him that I wanted to be a NP. So it is not like I have surprised him with this. Heck, he did not want to attend my graudation. I thought that his attitude would change with the masters program. I guess not. Well, I am not giving up, and I am going to school. I can do this with him or without him. I would prefer that he be supportive. I really do not understand why he does not want me to go. He wants me to stay at home with the kids. Yes, I do want to be with my kids, but I also realize that my children will not be at home forever.
  9. Everytime I try to go to the certified background.com website it says that it is unavailable. Anybody else having this problem?
  10. I got accepted into the advanced ER NP program! Woohoo! I had a great vacation with my sister too!
  11. I called and spoke to a lady who said that not everyone got an email, I know I didn't. She also said that they were planning on mailing the letters next Monday. Too bad I will be on vacation for two weeks, starting Saturday.
  12. I recently graduated from there with my BSN. My expirence there was nothing short of excellent. My teachers corresponded with me in a timely manner, and were always helpful. Please don't let this be a negative reflection of this school to you. I visited the campus, and participated in graduation and the nursing convocation. This is a good school. I know it is frustrating having to wait. I feel it too!
  13. That just bites! I am going to be out of town for the last two weeks of June!
  14. I am too chicken to call!
  15. I too received a Jag #when I applied to the BSN program. I don't think it has much to do with being accepted into program of study. I could be wrong.
  16. Hopefully, we will be hearing something this week. Best of luck to everyone!
  17. I have applied to the BSN-MSN ERNP track. I have not heard anything either.
  18. Meowmixer, I too have applied to USA, and have not heard anything about the status of my application. I do know that they have cashed my check. I am hoping that means that they recieved all of my application. Best of luck to you! I hope you get into your program.
  19. I applied to USA's Advanced Emergency room NP (dual degree) masters program. I have a nursing GPA of 3.8, 6+ years in the ER, and time served in recovery room, and radiology (doing moderate sedation during endovascular procedures), for a total of 8 years. I emailed my secondary application on March 31st, completed the CAS requirements 3 weeks before that, information was verified, and they have cashed my check. I have not heard anything from USA. I am completing the BSN program @ USA this month, and will graduate with my BSN on May 10, 2014. I have really enjoyed my learning experience @ USA, and look forward to expanding my education and career with a NP degree.
