I don't have an answer to your question but I was also recently put on the wait list. I emailed the admissions office to ask where I stand on the wait list or what my chances were and she told me my chances were slim. I have a 3.0 gpa in my last 2 years so she said that other students on the waiting list with higher gpas will be ranked before me. I emailed her again to ask how many students were ahead of me on the list but she said that they are still reviewing applications and once they finish UNB will rank the students on the list. Now I wonder how many people they put on the waiting list. I hope by some massive fluke a crazy number of people decide to go to other schools and they accept me .....one can hope!
