  1. s-Rank I hope you're still on here! Did you end up getting your health informatics degree straight from Lvn?? Or which route did you end up going?? I am an lvn and I want to head into health informatics but would like to know if there's a route to go instead of lvn to rn to bsn to health informatics... blah blah. It would be nice to bypass all that!! Any info would be great!!
  2. Thanks for all the feedback! :) I have seen a few positions open for lvn positions working under an RN that's why the interest :) starting as a sub or so don't sound too bad. I do plan on returning back to school for RN soon but getting my foot in the door for the full time position in the near future would be wondeful! I just wasn't sure if they required any "special" training or anything extra. Thanks for all the input y'all! I appreciate it :)
  3. Thanks guys! Yeah I guess more time is needed, sometimes I feel like nurset4835. I'm hoping in time it will get better. It is overwhelming at times. Prioritize, prioritize, prioritize!! Hope it gets better for you as well nurset4835!
  4. HEY! :) I work on a busy telemetry unit, new... like 3-4 months new! oh my! I have seen that it gets pretty hectic and am starting to second guess....?? I am wanting to try and stick it out for about a year or so any maybe, maybe go somewhere else or another unit. I love the fast pace don't get me wrong, makes the day go by quicker. the thing that is kinda killing me is the nurse/patient ratio of 6:1.. is that even safe?? That's the main question that worries me. any suggestions y'all have?
  5. Hey all! :) :) I am currently working on a tele unit, plan on at least staying a year or so for the experience. This is my first job outside of school which I just finished in June of this year. I have been thinking and am still thinking of all the options that nursing has to offer but the thought of being a school nurse seems ideal, with kids and all. I just don't know if there is any special training or something that I should have or consider before trying to apply for a position. Im not too worried about pay at this time, just seems like it could be a niche for me :) Any info would be awesome! thanks in advance!
