  1. Congrats on all the acceptances! Looks like things are really rolling now. I'm really looking forward to seeing all of you who'll be at UofT. I was placed on Queen's wait-list on April 24th. I'm supposed to email them back saying I want the spot. And I was just offered a spot at York on April 30th. Will decline that one soon.
  2. I know! And it's an open group too, I'm glad you found it. It was a little awkward being the only group member. Maybe it'll become searchable once a few more people join and FB would recognize it.
  3. Congrats to you all! Fantastic news :) Alright, I'm going to post the FB group # (616358161784559) ...I hope I'm not breaking any rules. Replace that number in any FB group of yours and see if it comes up. >_
  4. @talstar Approx 200 I think, correct me if I'm wrong. And we all have until June 2nd.
  5. @saowa I'm not sure about that. But officially, the prereq needs to be at least a 60%. With my GPA background, I feel I got in based on my work and volunteer experience. As other posters have mentioned, I do think they take your supplementary application seriously into consideration.
  6. You're welcome! I know how frustrating waiting can be. It makes sense that UofT will be sending out more offers in May. Those who've been accepted now and in April need wait a week or two (or three) for the official mail and reply. That explains the dreaded time lag. If there's a lack of response from the March and April acceptees, then UofT will have to send out A LOT more May acceptances to meet the June deadline.
  7. I called Bloomberg Admissions, and someone picked up! The lady I spoke to was extremely helpful. Here's what I learned: - Early acceptances were sent out electronically on March 21st - Now until June will be regular rolling admissions (fingers crossed for all those who are still waiting) - The JoinUofT page (UofT admissions) is update 1-2 days after your email from Bloomberg. The welcome package is then sent out by UofT admissions. Canada Post takes over from here... - Bloomberg will be over-accepting students in May! This is in anticipation that not all students will accept their offer - Those with offers need to respond by June 2nd, 2014. There is a form, included in your welcome package, and a $500 deposit you need to send back to the admissions office. The deposit goes towards your tuition fees, and is not extra. - If you do not get a package 3 weeks from the day of your email...then call the admissions office at Bloomburg, not the general UofT office. (It's so early right now, I was told not to worry about late packages) - Wait-listed applicants will be notified after June 2nd I hope this eases your minds a little!
  8. I wish I could update my OUAC, but my account is closed since I'm an internal student. Sigh this is frustrating. Grr Facebook. Is there a way I could share/post the link without breaking the TOS?
  9. Strangely, 3:53pm on a Tuesday. I hope you hear from them soon! Also the Facebook group should be working now. Bloomsburg Faculty of Nursing (UofT) Class of 2016
  10. No mail yet. Hopefully Monday... But according to last year's forum, we'll need to make a $500 dollar deposit to accept the offer.
  11. I followed the naming format of the pervious years. I made this just an hour ago.Ah maybe this is why. My group status says it's pending because it's under the University of Toronto group. I think they need to OK my group first.
  12. Just started UofT Facebook group: Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing (UofT) - Class of 2016 Let me know if it works :)
  13. I have. What are you wondering?
  14. @tongtong I've was accepted on Mar 25th, my JoinUofT page only updated from "Pending" to "Accepted" today. From my experience from last year and this year, the JoinUofT page updates very slowly, if at all. I'm an internal student, but my Required/Received Document section still says "Enrolment Services will make arrangements for transcripts" and blank on the Received On column. If you're worried, contact the inquiry.nursing email. I've never been able to get through to them on phone, but they seem to be good with emails.
  15. I graduated last June, and I already have all the prerequisites for UofT. But I took an elective course, anatomy (ANA301), for Western. It might just be a general UofT condition for applications who are still taking courses. I applied to UofT and York last year and didn't make it, so I applied to Mac, Western, and Queens this year. Never give up :)
