Do you have an OB in the hospital 24/7?
We do not have an OB in house, We do not have Anesthesia in house. And starting soon we will not have Neonatalogists in house. We have 1-6 deliveries per day. The docs do not show up for triages unless very serious, nor for pitocin or epidurals....Soon I will not be in the house. :)

Depressed after graduation. Is it normal?
Hey Lady :) Lots! of people are having this problem! I also graduated in Dec. and thought (and was told) I'd be hired by January! It is hard to keep your head up, but keep at it! It is going to happen! I just received 3 job offers all at the same time after 100s and 100s of applications and countless nights wondering what the heck was wrong with me. It all takes time (HR, management, etc) and it's good to be humbled. Hang in there!

I can't get a job!!!!
Try to have patience. Like others have said it really hasn't been that long. I graduated in Dec. 2013 and passed boards in January and I put in 100s (literally) of applications and was frustrated many nights but finally someone "gave me a chance" and I start on the 14th of this month. Keep your head up and keep at it! You will get something!

Turned down job offer
Torture? Wow... I think jumping into that job with no experience straight out of school would be more like torture....

Turned down job offer
I'm surprised they would have offered you something like that as a new grad and no Bachelors degree (I don't have one either, just saying usually I thought administrative positions required Bachelors). I think it would be very overwhelming. I think you made the right decision but that's just me. Good luck in whatever you do. I just graduated December too and start my first job in 2 weeks. Scared to death lol :)

Yes I would guess that is the case. Especially CA's cost of living, I'm sure, is much higher.

Asked to Shadow During Job Interview
Job Shadowing is always a good sign. I had a job shadow on Monday and was offered a job on Tuesday! I wore scrubs and ask questions about the unit, how is the nurse to patient ratio, how are the Docs, how long has everyone been there, etc. I stayed about 3 hours. Good luck and keep us updated!

3 interviews in a week time span - 2 down, 1 to go!
Congrats! I am also a new grad and have 2 offers on the table and most likely a third tomorrow after a job shadow! So thankful to be in a situation where I have choices! Good luck to you and congrats again!
