  1. It's all a learning experience. Nothing worthwhile comes easy.
  2. Elaborate on what do you mean by the practicums!
  3. Yes I graduated from the DNP program at Chamberlain. The program is tough and very good.
  4. No lectures or videos. Although this might change. There are reading assignments and papers. You should work part time. I found the working full time is difficult but that's just an opinion.
  5. Yes. I believe most of the DNP students work.
  6. It is an good program. Plan to work hard in each course.
  7. I think that's a good choice.
  8. Call me 951 377-1041. I do not accept calls if you have caller ID blocked. Your name needs to appear when you call.
  9. The DNP program is great. It has all of the required courses mandated for a DNP program. There is a lot of reading and writing. Great professors.
  10. Hi the program is great. It follows all of the DNP guidelines that should be taught in the DNP program. I am taking my fourth class and so far so good. There is a lot of reading and writing. Real interesting material with great professors.
  11. Please send again. I did not receive. I understand I respond to the two post that are required of me. The second is confusing. When I post to the classmates is that only to two classmates and do I need use references for them? . Thank you.
  12. I did not get your email address or phone number. Please send it again if at all possible. Thank you!
  13. I have a question? I understand about the two post per week for the DNP program, but do we also comment on our classmates post, and if so, do we only comment on two of our classmates posts or do we make a comment on each classmates post. Yikes, can you help me with this?
  14. You are a god send. Thank you so much for the update. Good to hear you got a fantastic grade! The school will get accredited, probably just needs a lttle more time. Thank you for the post. It means so much to me. I start on May 5. Please keep me posted on how you do on the next class.
  15. Please remove me from this thread if possible.
  16. Not surprised.
  17. I think it's to see how you write. Grammer, spelling etc.
  18. Thank you for giving me an update on how it's going at Chamberlain. I hope to keep in touch. Let me know how the next 8 weeks go. Glad to hear the rubric is clear, concise and that the assignments are straight forward. I really appreciate your input. I also spoke with another student that said pretty much the same about the rubric, but she also mentioned there were online "discussions". Thank you!!!!
  19. Can you tell me anything about the DNP program? Test? Teachers?
  20. Hello. I start the DNP program in May. How do you like it so far? Is the work clear? Teachers helpful? Thank you.
  21. My interview was about 15 minutes. Mostly about how great the school is. I think for me it was just a slam dunk. I felt they were eager to get me as a student, and pay the tuition. They did mention they were a Christian school. Remember there is no perfect Christian. The school was not a good fit for me. It may be for you. No I cannot give specifics because these were my personal experiences, and I do not want to make slander statements about the school.
  22. So how is the DNP program at Chamberlain going? Is it pretty structured and do-able? Are your professors helpful? Thank you!
  23. What school are you attending for the DNP. I think I will be starting Chamberlain University. What is the DNP online course like. Its it mostly online lecture, reading and paper presentations. Any words of advise before I start the DNP school. How many have dropped from your cohort? Thank you!
  24. All DNP and PhD nursing programs are research based. The difference is that the DNP does research on research. The PhD does new research, research that has not been done. The capstone project is an all research project with the literature review your plan and the execution of it etc. I was in a PhD nursing program, and decided its not for me. Too long. I would be very happy to do research, but I don't want to feel pressured to do it all the time. I am a family nurse practitioner so less clinical would be great for me since this is what I do everyday. If you were in California I could preceptor you! Thank you for your communication. I hope you are given good guidance on the capstone project. Thank you.
  25. How do you like the program thus far? A lot of writing and literature review right? Thank you!
