  1. Good point....thanks for your insight!
  2. Hello, Can anyone give me some insight? I was accepted to both an ADN nursing and surgical tech programs for the fall. I am trying to decide which would be worth the dedication? Anyone work in both fields and share their experience? I would love to work in the OR but I would also love to do patient care. Thanks!!
  3. Hi! I started my ADN program in the fall. I don't have medical background. All throughout the semester is didn't feel confident in myself as being able to be responsible for someone's life. I passed all skills, did great in clinical but unfortunately I got a 77 in my class where a 78 is passing. Now I need to submit a letter to the dean to be readmitted. BUT now that I have had the time off after the first semester in wondering if I'm just wasting my time and money. I started out the fall semester really excited and so happy to be in clinical but as time went on I felt a lack in confidence. Anyone else feel this way? I know what I need to do to pass next fall as a readmit but do you become for confident as you learn more and more? Thanks!
  4. Wow!! That's awesome!! I didn't find out until February. The wait is brutal. Especially if you are taking any classes with other students waiting also. You may hear some get letters, some still waiting and rumors of others being denied. It's tough to wait.
  5. Sorry it took me some time to reply. My GPA is 3.2 and the summer course is 1 credit and is 4 classes. 3 hours each class. Covers the nursing handbook, hx of nursing, the women that started the nursing profession and ethical and legal issues. Very easy class.
  6. I am going to be starting my first semester in September for the nursing program at lccc. You need to have a 100 or greater on the PAX. I got a 122. When I applied for this Fall, there were 1850 applicants and only 150 seats so very competitive. Good luck!!
