  1. One week left! :) how is y'all's studying going? Can't wait till May 5th!
  2. Thank you I plan on making sure I don't just read or take notes but that I also comprehend the material
  3. I think the whole book thing is kind of disorganized and communication seems to be lacking. I understand the bookstore is just trying to help but my thing is why would they give us a list of books to but and give us reading to do from those books if they weren't the ones we needed. Any who oh well. I thank goodness just got the approval from my boss to get the iT department to set me up with a home office. So I'll be working from home during nursing school. This is going to be a challenge for all of us but I feel as long as we help each other as much as possible and put the effort in that's needed we will succeed. Idk where you live but you can join our study get togethers.
  4. I feel the exact same way. As long as we put in the effort I have no doubt that we will succeed.
  5. I live very close I live in lake Mary if you want we can get together and study. I am definitely going to take your tip about definitions and work book. I'll most likely make flash cards of all definitions.
  6. What area do you live in if you don't mind me asking?
  7. When it comes to studying I'm a tactile learning style so I take tons of notes and flash cards. So of you aren't able to get the book before class starts I can email you my notes if that helps.
  8. Uh I forget now I think like 200 or so.
  9. I was told the same by the bookstore lady but I just used common sense that they wouldn't tell us to get the book what chapters to read out of the book and already hand us a list with the books we need of they were changing the book now the pharmacology edition does change. So just be aware of that. And thanks for that tip I'll try that as well!
  10. They already handed us our book list do as long as the textbook edition is the same on the list we ok ( which it is) the only book changing editions is pharmacology. I'm trying to budget it all in this is the plan I have is to do 4 chapters a week of dosages (I'm starting on ch 4 because 1-3 is basic math) and read 2 chapters from the book a week. We have 5 weeks before classes start so If I stick to that then I should be able to finish both reading and dosages.
  11. Like things they told us to start studying before the semester starts.
  12. I feel a little overwhelmed. Our schedule will make it very hard to work full time. But I'm still very excited to start! Their suggested pre studying of an entire workbook and ten chapters was what made me a little overwhelmed.
  13. From what I understand is any white shoe will do as long as it's all white
  14. Hmm mine says pending admission too but I still have the button maybe check back tomorrow. If you don't have it tomorrow you can pm your email and I can just email them to you. Can't wait to meet everyone tomorrow!
  15. Go into atlas then the students tab then scroll all the way down and it's a button at the bottom to the left. :) hope this helps
