  1. My heart was pumping FAST when I clicked on that message. Thankfully my goal statement and personal history essay, volunteer and work experience, and recommendations made up for my less than stellar nursing GPA! Thankful for UCSF for acknowledging nursing multiple-choice test are not the end all for personal potential!
  2. I did not have any official mental health RN experience aside from nursing school, but I use to work with a lot of older clients at a skilled nursing facility (demential, Alzheimer's) as an activities leader, and I saw a lot of patients suffering from both psychiatric and medical conditions working in an ICU an an RN.
  3. I've been checking my UCSF MS Application account daily. Today there was a new message letting me know I was accepted to the MS program I applied for (the program itself wasn't named, but I had applied for the Psychiatric NP program). I am jumping around the room with happiness!
  4. I sure hope that doesn't mean everyone who got in has been selected and notified by now! My application page still reads "Under Review".
  5. Thank you for starting this thread jojonavy! I have been perusing allnurses for the last few months seeing if someone would start this topic up! I applied to the traditional UCSF Masters (speciality: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner). I, too, am surprised decisions have gone out this early for Fall 2014 admission. Congratulations to those who have been accepted already! I will let you guys know as soon as I get any news (fingers crossed).
