  1. Thank you nurses for the responses. Anyway, I will report my marriage to the Phil. Embassy in San Francisco pretty soon so I can use my married name for the renewal of passport. So it means I'm going to use my married name in the entire process of NCLEX and CGFNS. One more question regarding CGFNS, am I correct to ask my school and PRC to change my documents from maiden name to married name so CGFNS will not going to confuse? Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comments.
  2. Thank you MissMoo25. I'm still waiting for my greencard to arrive in mail. I used married name on my greencard application. I'm thinking to use married name in applying for CGFNS-CES and will ask my school to change my documents(TOR and diploma) to married name. Anyway, I'm from Philippines.
  3. Hi, I'd like to ask about the application for NCLEX and CGFNS. I just got married last year in USA and I'm having a problem regarding what surname I'm going to use. I have really no idea because all of my documents (TOR, PRC licence) are placed under my maiden name. If I use my married name they might be confuse with my application, can you guys help me out on what I have to do? Thank you in advance.
  4. Your responses are highly appreciated. I think I will probably buy the 6th edition. I found a very good deal at Amazon.com.
  5. I'm just confused what book I'm gonna buy, they said 5th edition Saunders NCLEX-RN have the same content with 6th edition Saunders NCLEX-RN. Any advice?
  6. I'm sorry Kabayan, I'm just confused. This is my e-mail [email protected]. Can I have your number please for the further question/s. You can send it to my e-mail. Thank you.
  7. Hi Kabayan, when you applied for CGFNS did you hire or get agency? What should I do first, have CGFNS-CES application then send application to WA BON?
  8. I am going to take the TOEFL, Kabayan. It's tough I do studying TOEFL and reviewing NCLEX at the same time. Goodluck to us. Keep me posted, Kabayan.
  9. I graduated 2008 and I have more than 960 hours of experience for the last five years. So if I am going to take the NCLEX Oregon they will require me to have CGFNS and prove or send documents from the hospital that I work in before pertaining that I have 960 hours experience? Am I correct?
  10. Hi Kabayan, I just wanted to ask what's the requirements for you to become eligible in taking NCLEX Oregon? Just a CGFNS-CES for foreign students?
  11. Congratulations, Kabayan!
  12. For now, I'm reading KAPLAN "The Basics". I just downloaded some KAPLAN books from Amazon. I don't know yet if I'm going to take up NCLEX online review. I'm more concentrated in TOEFL at the moment.Yaayyy..Congrat's, Kabayan! How I wish I would expecting a baby too.
  13. Kabayan, may I know if you are taking up NCLEX online review? What references are you using? Ty
  14. Congratulations, Kabayan! I graduated year 2008 and took the exam on the same year. How about you? I'm so happy that I found a Pinay Nurse here.
  15. For now, I'm doing a self study for the TOEFL. I don't have a choice but to deal with it. It's a nice thing if WA didn't require a foreigner like us to take TOEFL, isn't it? My sister in law has been working in Portland Oregon as a Nurse. Next month I'll be able to work on my CGFNS paperworks. It would be a long journey. Are you done with your CGFNS?
  16. The information that you've given to me is really a big help. I hope you don't mind if I ask if you are praticing your profession here in WA?
  17. I appreciated your response, Silverdragon102.
  18. I have been living in Olympia for four months now. It's nice to meet a Pinay here. Regarding the CES evaluation, I just went to CGFNS site and read about the process. They said I have to contact my school regarding the TOR and download the form to their site which I should forward to my school and my school are the one who will send my documents to them. Is that right?? Sorry to keep asking, I just wanted to make sure that I'm doing the process correctly? This is my e-mail address [email protected], hope to hear from you soon. Thank you for keep posting here, Kabayan.
  19. Thank you DianaBG10 for the response. I'd already went to the WA board of nursing web. Yes you are correct that need to take and pass the TOEFL as one of their requirements. I'm doing a self study for the TOEFL since last month. I'm just wondering if I can work now the CGFNS Credentials Evaluation Service (CES) Professional report or I need to take a TOEFL first before working on that? Are you a Pinay too?
  20. I just arrived here in Washington State last year. I am a registered nurse in the Philippines. My question is what is the first step I'm going to do to be able to take a state nursing board exam here in WA?
