  1. doglover444, How did the interview go? And what does it look like from here on out?
  2. Fail, then is there even a point to watch for the status if it's not going to change?
  3. Congrats! Did your online submission status change accordingly?
  4. bellarn1, if you're already in the Sharp system, you're probably set! Or is it that competitive that you have to already have an in somehow? What unit do you work in? doglover444, Oh, didn't realize they had info sessions. Might be a longshot for me since I don't have that experience and I'm not really from the area/have any ties to the hospital, but we'll see. Fingers crossed
  5. I applied for ER at Memorial and Grossmont. Just curious, what schools are you guys coming from? I'm from Azusa Pacific, but LA campus actually. Kind of curious as to how they sort out which new grads "stand out" given that we don't have experience and we're probably relatively similar in qualifications.
  6. I PMed you the link
  7. For anyone who got into APU main campus (Monrovia) for spring, our Facebook group is named: "APU - ELM Main Campus - Spring 2015 Cohort" Just an fyi for those who are reading the forum
  8. lol, I did the same to you. haha Name sounds good. it follows the other years' fb groups so it should make it easier for people to find :]
  9. any new waitlist people get in?
  10. any waitlisters get in?
  11. anyone on the waitlist get added in?
  12. Yup! You should make a FB for the group. Don't know how involved the fb groups are, but it's probably the best thing available before we actually meet in person
  13. I will PM you. Except, I think I need to post a few more times in order to be able to unlock the ability to PM people. lol :/
  14. elopez, congrats! I'm a guy, so you're not the only one! haha Emily, I can't find the fb group. Could you give me the group name? Thanks!
  15. Yeah I definitely like the smaller class size. It feels like it's just easier to learn. Getting a BSN is really appealing to me too. It will only help you during your job search since some entry level programs (like Western) don't award a BSN, only a master's. Heard there are hospitals that only (or mostly) take in RN's with BSNs, so that helps too.
  16. @Emily103 No, didn't get into UCLA, haha. Admissions process was horrible, But it's ok, Azusa is more of what I wanted. If you got waitlisted into UCLA, you'll probably get into Azusa considering I got into Monrovia but was denied by UCLA. Is Azusa your top choice?
  17. @Emily103 Oh ok, just wondering if there were any people on here that applied for fall 2014 that got bumped into spring 2015, which is my case. Anyhow, glad you guys are getting your replies relatively quick, UCLA's decision just came in for me and I applied like late last year! Good luck!
  18. As many have stated already, I suggest emailing them. I emailed ------------ and got a quick reply. I didn't get in, but at this point, I'm just glad to finally know one way or the other. Was pretty much expecting a 'no' since it was this late anyways.
  19. Does anyone know if someone has made a facebook group for 2015 spring?
  20. Good luck to everyone on your interviews! Breathe easy in that it's not stressful and very conversational. You won't be getting grilled (that's what I was paranoid about, lol).
  21. @vpaniagua Even if you're invited to start early and enter the cohort before the one you applied to, you're guaranteed the spot you originally applied (and accepted) into. So I would suggest you apply early since I've heard some things about people applying later towards the deadline and not getting interviews. Definitely don't think it would hurt at all to apply as soon as the application opens
  22. Mine was actually just a phone interview, which made it much easier and relaxed. Basic questions like stated above: why nursing, what experiences related to nursing. Went over application, prereqs. Time for questions. Rank the 3 campus locations of preference. And the writing prompt. It's definitely scary going in, but it's actually not too bad.
  23. I spoke with someone who's currently in the program and she told me that you do indeed receive a BSN after the first 2 years of prelicensure. But don't hold me to it, as I didn't double check with staff at the school.
