  1. If you are asking me I have no idea. I never applied for the scholarship. I'm using my GI Bill to fund my BSN.
  2. I was just going to get them at Nova. Seems easier then buying elsewhere then going elsewhere for embroidery. Although Uniform Advantage has the very comfortable scrubs. Butter something.
  3. While the 3 year commitment seems like much, not having it doesn't really give you the freedom to pick the job you want. It is a challenge for brand new grads to find jobs. It certainly happens, but the supply certainly outpaces the demand.
  4. So I did find the one you were talking about. I was hoping I had missed it and there was the more detailed syllabus up. This one is certainly a good start.
  5. I was looking for the syllabus the other day and found what looks like part of one. Where you able to find a syllabus on there that is more like a regular one?
  6. Sent you a pm if you still need a second to make the group.
  7. Nova gives out a planner at orientation. At least every student at the Winter 2014 orientation got one.
  8. I'm all for it. I just have no idea how to do it. ?
  9. I do not believe so. I did a couple searches but nothing came up.
  10. There are a ton of threads on here about the interview process. The consensus is that it is a laid back day and to just be yourself.
  11. Congrats. Seems to be a few of us headed to the main campus this fall.
  12. I'll hit 30 during the semester as well. I have the expectation that the nursing group as a whle will be a more mature bunch then your typical underclassmen. With the work of getting into the program, I can't imagine there being too many unmotivated people. I only asked about vet as that would be an added bonus. Either way I am looking forward to starting and hopefully finding a good group of people to study with.
  13. It is a super informal interview. The only question that was a solo answer was tell us about yourself. Other questions were a discussion between the four of us who were being interviewed at the time. Have a question or two ready for the end to ask them.
  14. I know it is a long shot but any veterans here? So far it has been difficult to connect with my younger classmates, moatly because they are immature and unmotivated. I am almost positive my fellow class of 2016 nurses will be different, just curious if any of them are vets. Either way, I am looking forward to meeting my fellow nursing hopefuls. herr
  15. Anyone on here that have gotten accepted to the main campus for this fall?
  16. It has not updated yet. Just have the phone call from Andrea so far.
  17. So I just got a call from Andrea about my interview from this past Monday. I have been accepted into the Fall 2014 start at the main campus! Of course I still need to pass micro and A&P this summer but there is no way in hell I will be messing those classes up. So hopefully others have or will be getting their notifications here shortly. Again, if anyone has any questions about the interview/test day or what have you, feel free to ask. I am sure others, as well as myself, on here will be more than happy to answer them the best that we can.
  18. Figured I would post as I just got back from my interview/exam. The Kaplan book is goof for everything except the science. There was maybe one question in the science section that was in the Kaplan. Read your old notes/books and be strong on physiology. Overall the day is fairly laid back. Essay which is simple and straightforward, group panel interview, a quick tour of the sim lab, lunch, and then the test. For those that are curious here are my scores: Reading: 95 Math: 89 Writing: 86 Science: 65 (not bad for still having to take Nova's five credit A&P this summer). I will post when I find out if I get in or not. Any questions, with the exception of specifics on test questions, feel free to ask.
  19. You seem to be the outlier when it comes to this. It seems most people in the group of Nova BSN threads have said the Kaplan book is horrible for the A&P portion of the test.
  20. I can't as I will be over at the main campus interviewing. I mostly reviewed fractions. Have beem focusing on physiology for the most part though.
  21. Are you interviewing this coming Monday?
  22. They have finally gotten Andrea some help and she is training another person although I cannot remember his name. As you said they are super helpful considering all the work they have to do. Not really stressing the test as I will be taking it before I take A&P so that will be a unique experience. Also, if anyone is like me or just wants some good notes on A&P go here: Human Physiology | Chapter Summary Appears to ahve a decent amount of info and I have added parts of it to the study guide I made for myself. Good luck to all.
  23. Out of curiosity. waht is the order of events for the day? Interview then test or vice versa?
