Hello, I was browing ABAC's website. I am loooking to apply there. I plan to being my science pre reqs in the summer. Was it hard to get admitted?

I am a college graduate with a BBA. I am in the Atlanta area and I am looking to get into nursing. The thing is I am 25yrs old and I feel that I may be late startnig my career and may have to work until I am 70. I am looking at becoming an RN. Can anyone suggest some good schools or the quickest route to get accepted? I have to take the science pre reqs

So would you suggest LPN or RN? I am leaning more towards an RN...But I feel I would have an easier time getting into an ADN than BSN program. I do not know if my MBA would be a replacement since I dont have a BSN

Thanks! I work fuilltime right now but I know I would have to stop work if I want to enter nursing school. Since I have a degree, would you say I am stepping backwards ?

Hey guys I need some advice. I am 25 yrs old. I feel I wasted 4-5 years of college working on a degree that hasnt brought me happiness nor a good job. I have a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with majors in Management and Information Systems. I am also scheduled to complete my MBA this summer. The instability in the I.T. job market has led me to rethink my career goals and aspirations. I have been thinking for over a year to pursue nursing. The thing that I am considering is: Should I try to get into a LPN program then immediately after graduation bridge over to RN program Should I try to get into an RN/ADN program I am looking for the quickest route possible. I woudl like to work for the state or federal govt potentially. What would you guys suggest?

I am in teh same situation. I majored in COmputer Info Systems almost 2 years ago and IT IS AWFUL!!!! It's tough to find a job. I have a helpdesk job but it's pathetic. I been thinking about nursing also (or becoming a public school teacher). I started Human A&P 1 this summer.. Having second thoughts..But I dontknow.. ANYONE WITH SOME ADVICE? I tried shadowing but that didnt fare well b/c they wouldnt allow me to shadow due to privacy reasons

WOW..Is GPC not a good school DO they not look at those who have previous degrees etc? I read the good and bad on here about GPC... I want to attend a school in ATL or near ATL Something where I am able to work at good hospitals etc I am supposed to start A&P 1 this week.

Another question (sorry for all these posts) For admission into RN prg at GPC, A&P 1 is required. I am enrolled in A&P1 now, do you think that I would have a good chance of getting into the program for Fall 2006? I was thinking I could take A&P II my first semester tehre

Well I am wanting to look into an ATL area based program. It seems most schools only look at the pre reqs and not the entire applicant. That seems that those who have A's are considered 'better' than those who have degrees with avg grades Does GPC or Clayton evaluate applications solely on the pre reqs?

How was the program and was it competitive? I am taking Human A&P 1 this summer. The website isnt very clear IMO

Does GPC require you to complete just Human Anatomy I before applying for the RN program? Or do they require both A&P I & II? I looked at teh website and it seemed to not be well explained. I am looking at applying for the program. I see they admit more than once

good luck guys on those pre reqs. Im to register for A&P soon. BUT I have a problem, I will be out of town for either 1 or 2 days of class. Do you think I should not just take this class? This is my first science pre req

Thank you for your post. Yeah I think I read on here that KSU soley admits on pre req GPAs which suck. I would pretty much have to take Eng and maybe 1 Math over Do you like KSU's program?
