Applying to the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Accelerated Nursing Program Oct 2014
i am really bummed i got put on the waitlist i have a 4.0 science gpa, around 3.75 for the overall, 95% on TEAS, and about 8 months CNA experience i wonder if part of it has to do with location... i emailed Sue about the wait list and she told me "the next selected student can be dependent upon the geographic location of the student who declined the offer" i live in Oshkosh right now, so i wonder if they hold that against me since the program is mostly online

thanks Laud0057! I had my online interview this morning and I think it went pretty well. It feels good to be done with the interview process. Now just have to sit and wait! alia913- congrats on the phone interview :) yeah i was getting nervous too when i didn't get the email for the online interview right away. They are probably just getting more busy with the process and it's taking them longer. I'm sure you will get it soon. Good luck everybody!

Allycat441- that sounds great that you have so much CNA experience, it seems like they are really looking for that. And Alia913, i think they will take your surgical tech and other experience into consideration even though you don't have your CNA certification yet. I got my certification in August but I have only been working as a CNA since October at a nursing home. So almost 5 months... I hope that is enough. I just graduated last May with a BA in both Criminal justice and Anthropology... (i thought i wanted to go to law school, but worked as a legal intern for a summer and hated it) So now i am hoping to go for nursing! How did you all do on your TEAS test?

Hi alia913. I also applied to the October 2014 cohort. I really don't know what to expect... this is my first time applying. Reading other posts online, it sounds like we just wait for an email interview at this point and then a phone interview a little further down the road. And then I believe they email decisions in late May.
